Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare icings, fillings, and any other necessary items required for decorating.
- Decorate all pastries within the specified time frame for customer orders and store displays.
- Follow recipes and production schedules to determine the variety and quantity of goods to be prepared each day.
- Measure and mix ingredients to form dough or batter according to recipes.
- Enhance the reputation of the pastry/bakery department by taking ownership of responsibilities, successfully completing new and different requests, and identifying opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements
- Passion for working in a bakery environment.
- Two to five years of related bakery or food production experience preferred.
- Valid California Food Handler Card required for employees who prepare, store, or serve food.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Experience operating a depositor, deck oven, rack oven, and spiral mixer preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus but not required.
- Ability to read and follow recipes, safety guidelines, and other work-related documents.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift ingredients or products as required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing consistent, high-quality products.
