Katella’s mission is to create a memorable and thoughtful dining experience for every guest that comes through Katella’s door while providing the highest quality product at the absolute best value. 

  • Prepare icings, fillings, and any other necessary items required for decorating. 
  • Decorate all pastries within the specified time frame for customer orders and store displays. 
  • Follow recipes and production schedules to determine the variety and quantity of goods to be prepared each day. 
  • Measure and mix ingredients to form dough or batter according to recipes. 
  • Enhance the reputation of the pastry/bakery department by taking ownership of responsibilities, successfully completing new and different requests, and identifying opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements

  • Passion for working in a bakery environment.
  • Two to five years of related bakery or food production experience preferred.
  • Valid California Food Handler Card (required for employees who prepare, store, or serve food).
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Experience operating a depositor, deck oven, rack oven, and spiral mixer is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, safety guidelines, and other work-related documents.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift ingredients or products as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality products.
