FabFitFun is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Controllership team at our HQ in Los Angeles, CA. Reporting to our Senior Accounting Manager, this person will have the opportunity to greatly impact and improve processes within this fast-growing e-commerce business. 

What You'll Do

• Prepare and record accurate and timely month-end journal entries within the accounting ledger
• Accounting for balance sheet and income statement, including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, a certain operating expenses
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
• Analyze income statement accounts, including various operating expenses
• Prepare month-end variance analysis and reporting in comparison to operating budgets and prior periods
• Work cross-functionally with teams across the organization to capture business activities and performance in a complete, proper and accurate manner
• Partner with the Finance team to communicate accounting results and variances
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable team and Sr Accountant during month-end as necessary, including processing bills or reviewing coding, transactions or accruals
• Assist with credit card expense reporting
• Support the annual and quarterly financial statement audit (and other audits)
• Prepare schedules and support for audit requests and other executive reporting requests
• Support operational/systems initiatives/projects and other ad hoc research, including identifying resolutions of relevant data limitations
• Streamline and automate accounting and close process for assigned areas
• Opportunity to assist with special or ad hoc projects as needed

What You'll Bring

• BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent field 
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• CPA or CPA candidate or eligible to sit in a CPA exam
• Proven ability to work independently, execute well and thrive in a fast-paced environment 
• Detail oriented and a quick learner
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to think critically and research ad hoc accounting issues
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
