Senior Accountant

DISQO is looking for a high energy and customer-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team and help support our business growth. As an early member of the team, you will play a critical role in building the foundation of our Accounting functions to enable accelerated growth.
This position reports to our Accounting Manager.
What you will do:
- Responsible for all AP activity, which includes receiving, recording and paying invoices
- Enter invoices and credit card expenses to the correct G/L categories
- Conduct weekly check and ACH payment runs
- Responsible for AR activity including preparing and sending invoices, applying client payments, preparing weekly deposits and month-end reconciliations
- Responsible for vendor set up and maintenance including collecting payment/bank info and W-9’s if applicable
- Work with the Accounting Manager in preparing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and account analysis
- Proactively identify areas for possible improvement and recommend findings to the team
- Assist in establishing and implementing accounting systems, policies and procedures
- Assist in implementing, documenting, and maintaining an effective internal control environment to ensure accuracy of financials
- Provide support to the Accounting Manager, Controller, and FP&A team as needed including collections, ad-hoc reports, etc.
- Utilize accounting acumen and communication skills to facilitate information flow between other departments and the Accounting team
- Leading or participating in ad-hoc projects and assignments
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. CPA license, at least in progress, preferred
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferably in a public, multinational, high-tech company or a Big 4 accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures
- Proficient Excel skills (ability to do vlookups, pivot table, etc.)
- Self-starter and a problem solver with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
