OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE ANALYST - CORPORATE REAL E
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Following direction from SVP/Facilities Manager of Corporate Real Estate (CRE), assist with the oversight of primary outsourced real estate service provider with a focus on the finance and facility management service-line functions, and First Line of Defense responsibilities. Additionally, support compliance with bank regulatory requirements through coordination with CRE, Internal Audit, Finance and other internal regulatory stakeholders. The Operations Analyst will be a collaborative member of the CRE Team to provide world-class operational service delivery for City National's real estate portfolio, to ensure a quality workplace experience for CNB's colleagues.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Supports the day-to-day operations and oversight of CRE third party Real Estate provider (JLL) including fielding colleague facility requests and issues resolution working with various service lines to ensure timely communication and reporting response.
- Works collaboratively with SVP/Facilities Manager and JLL performance and finance teams to coordinate risk management activities in preparation for audits and regulatory reviews. Assists management with self-audit test plan and testing methodology of key control activities across the division.
- Assists with providing oversight of JLL's Vendor Management and Sourcing program to ensure compliance with on-boarding of new Vendors, document collection, insurance compliance and continuous monitoring of vendor performance and issue resolution
- Provides hands-on oversight and testing of compliance controls through various processes and reports, and updates CRE Department/Service Line Playbooks as required.
- Assists with Workplace Strategy and Occupancy Planning programs and initiatives.
- Oversees Fire Life Safety (FLS) and Floor Warden Programs to ensure full compliance with Bank and Enterprise Risk Management compliance standards and requirements.
- Assists with the oversight and performance programs of on-site food service provider for the Blue Ladder Café and Grill.
- Collaborates and supports the development of the annual business plan and assists with annual and quarterly submissions for Internal Audit and RBC 2nd Line of Defense compliance team.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*
- H.S. Diploma
- 1+ years' experience in a risk and compliance environment of a financial institution or financial services company
- 2+ years' experience in the financial industry or corporate real estate
Skills and Knowledge
- Must have formal documentation skills, an ability to draft policies and procedures, in addition to effective time management skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Proven ability to work without direct day-to-day supervision and manage numerous priorities simultaneously.
- Candidate must have experience with the Financial Industry's Three Lines of Defense Risk Management programs.
- Ability to work within ambiguity and operate effectively with imperfect information and seek individuals/departments who have the information to resolve outstanding issues.
- Through oversight programs and controls, identify and respond to inconsistencies when reviewing department invoices, contracts, and/or reports.
- Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook required
