THE PURPOSE:
The Senior Financial Analyst at Virgin Hyperloop One will be instrumental in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial modeling, ad-hoc analysis and process improvements. We are looking for a meticulous, independent and creative Senior Financial Analyst with the ability to work well across multiple functions and respond well to changing demands. The successful candidate will deliver insightful financial analyses and reports to internal/external parties. This is a key FP&A role with executive level visibility, assisting in crucial decision-making to execute the program efficiently and effectively.
THE ROLE:
• Develop and maintain monthly financial reports in collaboration with the Accounting team
• Produce action-oriented financial analysis to aid in critical decision-making about technical execution, complex problems and long-term investments
• Coordinate and lead monthly budget versus actuals reporting with designated Department Heads to fully understand financials, future plans, risks/opportunities and associated mitigation plans
• Create and update financial models/tools for internal and external use, including instituting modeling best practices
• Assist the Accounting team with the month-end close process (accruals, adjustments, reconciliations)
• Prepare reports for existing investors and lenders
• Research and summarize open commitments for forecasting purposes
• Create and lead the implementation of improvements to the reporting and forecasting processes
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting
• Progressive experience in Financial Planning and Analysis with increasing roles of responsibility
• Experience creating diverse financial reports, modeling structures and tools
• Advanced user of MS Excel
• Strong presentation skills
• Experience with Financial Reporting Tools and Systems

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• MBA/CFA

• Tech/Aerospace/Manufacturing industry background
• Previous startup experience
• Master user of MS Excel
