Job Summary
Aerospace is looking for an Internal Audit Manager to manage internal audit department activities and staff as well as coordinate and manages internal audits of financial and operational systems and processes. This person will need to demonstrate behavior that is consistent with our company's values.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manages internal audit department activities and staff; oversees work of auditors in planning, preparation and execution of assignments; schedules audit projects and staff assignments to comply with management needs.
- Reviews and evaluates auditor appraisals, working papers, analyses, and verifications of accounting and financial data to ensure compliance with corporate policies, practices internal procedures, and contractual terms and conditions.
- Maintains liaison with resident Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) representatives and staff; ascertains scope of audits, monitors findings and recommends corporate audit responses.
- Monitors external audits and coordinates with independent public accountants for fiscal year-end and pension plan audits.
- Assists in planning audit program forecasts and objectives for fiscal year and subsequent years to assure maximum utilization of available direct audit time.
- Informs and advises management at all levels; provides interpretations on appropriate internal control processes and procedures.
- Performs research and other special assignments; reports results of internal and special projects to senior management and management of audited areas.
- Responsible for hiring, supervising, providing training, scheduling overtime, approving time off, determining objectives, initiating action and completing annual performance reviews of staff. Plans, assigns and reviews the work of the internal audit staff.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years of experience
- Experience in internal audit processes, procedures, and practices
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with and execution of accounting best practices, standards and methodologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- 10 (6+ in management) or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree
- Advanced degree, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other
- Experience with SAP, Concur and Process Director
- Experience in conducting Fraud, Waste and Abuse investigations
- Current Top Secret Security clearance
