Financial Analyst - FP&A
THE PURPOSE:
The Financial Analyst at Virgin Hyperloop One will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial modeling, ad-hoc analysis and process improvements. We are looking for a reliable, meticulous and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with the ability to work well across multiple departments and functions. The position will assist management in critical decision-making to execute the program efficiently and effectively.
THE ROLE:
• Produce action-oriented financial analysis to aid in decision-making about technical execution and complex problems
• Interpret financial reports and historical trends for use in management reviews
• Review monthly financial reports with designated Department Heads to fully understand financials and future plans
• Create and update reporting models and tools, along with instituting modeling best practices
• Maintain monthly financial reports in collaboration with the Accounting team
• Research and summarize open commitments for forecasting purposes
• Recommend and implement improvements to the reporting and forecasting process
• Perform insightful ad-hoc financial analysis

• Demonstrates ability to frame unstructured and complex analytical problems to senior leadership
• Establishes positive relationships and work effectively across all areas of the company
MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting
• Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or Business Operations
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• MBA/CFA a plus
• Tech/Aerospace/Manufacturing industry background
• Previous startup experience
• Master user of MS Excel
• Strong presentation skills
• Experience with Financial Reporting Tools and Systems
