Finance Manager
System1 is looking for a Finance Manager to join a small but dynamic corporate finance team. This is a new role created to support System1’s growth and corporate initiatives and will be reporting to the VP, Finance. In this role you will be responsible for leading key FP&A processes, scaling reporting and analysis, and identifying areas to streamline and improve. This role will have visibility into operations across System1, work cross functionally, and will support business unit and corporate needs.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage processes and communicate effectively.
This role will allow for a hybrid work schedule with the requirement that certain days will be worked from the Marina del Rey California office.
The Role You Will Have
- Responsible for monthly operations review, ensuring accuracy and consistency of financial results across the company
- Lead monthly forecast cycle, maintaining and building consistent modeling and reporting processes across multiple business units and at the corporate level
- Manage monthly operational and corporate reporting packages and provide ongoing and ad hoc analysis aimed at providing financial insights at various levels of the business
- Continually evaluate, improve, and build FP&A processes as System1 grows, including working cross functionally to develop new analysis leveraging internal data
- Communicate financial results and trends, providing insights by understanding key business drivers across multiple business units
- Build and maintain various financial models
- Support the annual budget and other business unit and corporate projects
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years of FP&A or related experience, with at least 2 years of FP&A manager experience
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or related field, MBA preferred
- Proven track record of managing, developing, and improving FP&A processes and analysis
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing business needs
- Strong communication skills and comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization across locations
- Strong attention to detail, good analytical skills and the ability to proactively problem solve
- Advanced financial modeling capabilities (Excel)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
