System1 is seeking a self-motivated dynamic individual to serve as the Director of Tax. In this role you will be responsible for the timely and accurate tax filings including quarterly and annual tax provisions. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with all tax jurisdictions in multiple states and international locations as well as other primary accounting duties.

 

As part of our accounting team, this position will play a critical role in System1’s operations department. You will be working alongside our exceptional accounting team.

The Role You Will Have:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate quarterly tax provisions
  • Ensure compliance with all tax jurisdictions including multi-state and international
  • Prepare forecast of the effective tax rate on a quarterly basis.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors
  • Manage outsourced preparation and filing of Federal and State tax returns
  • Manage and implement tax reporting, compliance, and accounting policies
  • Manage tax audits
  • Prepare financial statement related to income taxes
  • Advise on the business impact of new tax laws and related income tax regulations, court decisions and proposed tax legislation
  • Prepare tax entries.

What You Will Bring:

  • 10+ years of combined work experience in a tax practice
  • Exposure to international tax preferred
  • Experience relevant to technology companies
  • Experience in multi-state and international Tax (Canada, UK, Netherlands)
  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required with relevant professional experience
