Director of Mergers & Acquisitions

Reporting to our Vice President of Finance, we are looking for a Director of Mergers & Acquisition, who is versatile and high-performing individual to help drive and support the company’s growth through the successful execution of its M&A strategy. This position provides a unique opportunity for an analytically inclined individual to apply and build their skills in a dynamic and entrepreneurial operating environment. This position will influence the future of our company through strategic thinking and cross-business collaboration while leading all facets of the deal process. Our ideal candidate is extremely analytical, detail-oriented, curious, and thoughtful. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can multi-task, prioritize projects and roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
What you’ll do:
- Participate in the development of the company’s M&A strategy and build a robust pipeline of acquisition targets in the context of its broader M&A strategy
- Oversee the transaction process, including diligence, valuation, deal structure, and integration
- Leverage various financial tools (NPV, DCF, IRR, ROI, etc.) to prepare financial analyses in support of M&A, equity investments, strategic partnerships, and larger business development initiatives in-line with long-range plan
- Measure results of M&A transactions / investments through post-closing analysis and develop strategies to improve performance
- Assist in any future debt and/or equity fundraising processes, including creating and managing investor materials and responses to due diligence requests
- Perform competitor analyses and benchmarking to provide insightful reporting to senior leaders by monitoring industry developments and market trends
- Communicate findings (supported by fact-based analysis) and insights effectively, both verbally and in written form, including authoring executive-ready presentations.
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in prior M&A focused roles (e.g., investment banking, consulting, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field is required (MBA a plus)
- Advanced proficiency with Excel with ability to create efficient, clean, complex financial models
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with highly motivated team
