Responsibilities We are seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the Director of Corporate Planning and Financial Strategy. In this exciting and fast-paced position, the Director will provide leadership in the areas of budget tracking, financial analysis, pricing and tracking progress of Aerospace Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) and non-FFRDC contracts, preparing financial reports, preparing briefings for senior leadership review and approval, preparing and briefing financial dashboards and metrics, and in partnership with the General Manager and Chief Financial Officer, seek continual improvements to both financial and business process as dictated by evolving corporate strategies. This highly visible and dynamic position includes regular engagement with senior Aerospace leaders and their technical and business teams. The position will be located in El Segundo, CA and reports the General Manager, Corporate Planning and Financial Strategy.
Key Functions:
Pricing FFRDC contract Pricing non-FFRDC contracts Generating monthly cost reports to Aerospace customers (internal and external).
Coordinating the operating plan process (overhead and capital).
Tracking budgets and calculating estimates throughout the fiscal year.
Preparing long-range planning scenarios.
Tracking and projecting loan covenant metrics.
Providing in-depth financial analysis to senior leaders.
Creating ad-hoc financial reports as requested.
Preparing and presenting financial data including key financial metrics SAP liaison between the information technology organization and the business manager community.
Other duties as required Budgeting and forecasting experience
Required
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
Significant direct experience in managing people
10 years of government contract pricing and financial management experience 15 years of financial management experience Experience with overhead rate development and budgeting
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changes as needed Empowers people, removes obstacles, and streamlines operations to achieve speed and efficiencies
Cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to influence others Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build strong and trusted working relationships with stakeholders and teams
Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
Actively identify high potential diverse talent and significantly contributes to their career development and advancement
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Access Ability to travel as required
Preferred
Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field CPA or MBA Knowledge of governmental and government contractor budgeting systems and practices Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and cost accounting standards (CAS) Tableau experience
