Accounting Manager
We are looking to hire a hard-working, highly motivated individual to join our growing Finance and Accounting team. This role will report to our Director of Finance and will be our first full-time Accounting hire. This person will play a key role in the Finance department during an exciting period of high growth and transformation. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for taking ownership of various revenue workstreams and will have the opportunity to lay the foundations of our accounting processes and infrastructure that will help our business scale effectively. This person’s participation will also be crucial in the upcoming financial systems conversion and the annual audit process.

Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury, month end close and year end close, monthly reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity and debt activity
Reconcile sales revenue & accounts receivable with sales ops team and generate monthly sales commission payment and accrual reports
Prepare monthly financial statements, cash forecasting and other analytics as requested
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce accurate and timely financial reports and statements, cash forecasts and other analytics (as requested)
Oversee budget reports, preparation of budgets, and analysis of budgets
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
Coordinate and complete annual audits and tax returns
Manage sales tax compliance on existing and new revenue streams
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Position Requirements
3+ years prior working experience as Accounting Manager, Accountant or Finance Manager
Thorough knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases. NetSuite experience a plus
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
High attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task, and still meet deadlines
Enjoys working in a constantly changing and fast-paced culture
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
CPA preferred
