Presidio, Where Teamwork and Innovation Shape the Future
At Presidio, we're at the forefront of a global technology revolution, transforming industries through cutting-edge digital solutions and next-generation AI. We empower businesses - and their internal customers - to achieve more through innovation, automation, and intelligent insights.

The Role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial planning and analysis for an assigned sales territory within our Commercial and Enterprise Sales organization. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, you will be the senior finance partner to your territory's sales leadership — owning the forecast, reconciling backlog and inventory position to manage risk, and turning financial and operational data into the insight that drives business decisions. This is a role for someone ready to take ownership of a book of business, mentor the analysts supporting it, and raise the bar for how the team operates.
We are building a finance team that thinks like analysts and operates like technologists. As a manager on that team, you set the standard: your business partners trust your judgment, your forecasts hold up under scrutiny, and your team is growing into stronger analysts because of the coaching and structure you provide.

Responsibilities include:

Business Partnering & Commercial Finance Leadership
• Serve as the senior finance partner to sales leadership within your assigned territory, providing financial guidance that directly shapes business decisions
• Present financial results, risks, and recommendations to senior and executive audiences, translating complex data into clear, actionable narratives
• Partner cross-functionally with accounting and operations to identify and resolve issues affecting your territory's P&L
• Provide finance approvals to support ongoing operations, applying sound judgment and financial controls

Forecasting, Budgeting & Planning
• Own the annual plan and the quarterly and monthly forecast updates for your assigned sales territory, partnering with FP&A leadership and territory sales leaders
• Reconcile backlog and assess inventory position to identify risk and inform the near-term forecast and annual budget for your territory
• Build and maintain driver-based financial models, historical and predictive, with dynamic inputs that reflect current business conditions
• Track performance against projections and adjust plans as your territory evolves

Performance Reporting & Analytics
• Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly P&L variance analysis against budget and forecast, reviewing results with accounting, FP&A, and business management
• Report on and analyze operational metrics and KPIs, surfacing trends that signal strengthening or weakening performance
• Own executive and ad hoc reporting, including presentation materials for senior leadership reviews
• Conceptualize and build summary charts, tables, and dashboards that make large volumes of data easy to consume and act on

Data, Analytics & AI — Raising the Bar
• Champion the adoption of Power BI dashboards and modern reporting tools within your territory, replacing static spreadsheet decks with dynamic, self-service reporting
• Model effective use of AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis and improve forecast accuracy, and encourage the same from your team
• Develop financial tools, analyses, and metrics that support business strategy and scale beyond a single analysis
• Standardize KPI frameworks and financial data definitions for consistent reporting within your territory, aligned to broader Commercial and Enterprise Sales standards

Team Leadership & Development
• Mentor and develop the analysts supporting your territory, coaching on technical skills, business acumen, and executive communication
• Review analyst deliverables for accuracy and clarity before they reach business or executive audiences
• Foster a culture of curiosity, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team
• Partner with FP&A leadership on resource planning and team development priorities

Required Skills and Professional Experience
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or commercial finance, including experience reviewing or mentoring the work of junior team members
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills, including VLOOKUP, IFS, pivot tables, and charts
• Demonstrated experience building financial models, historical or predictive, with dynamic inputs
• Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar BI tools, with the ability to guide others in dashboard design
• Working knowledge of AI-assisted tools (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.), with a track record of using them to improve team efficiency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-service focus and comfort presenting to executive audiences
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively across all levels of the organization
• Problem solver with a results-oriented mindset, high bias for action, and strong ownership and accountability
• Ability to self-manage and operate independently to meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Skills and Professional Experience
• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFA) or MBA
• Prior experience formally managing or mentoring analysts
• Experience in technology, managed services, or professional services industries
• Experience with financial planning platforms such as OneStream, Adaptive, or Hyperion
• Experience with ERP systems such as D365, SAP, Oracle, or Great Plains
• Proficiency in SQL or Power Query for querying and transforming data sets
• Experience with revenue recognition principles and services or product margin economics

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
