Who We Are

Maybern is transforming the way private fund managers effectively manage their funds through cutting edge technology. Maybern is founded by top engineering experts with deep knowledge of the fund management space.

Private funds manage $15T in capital and are growing at 20% YoY, but with increasing regulatory scrutiny and investor demands for transparency, the need for world class software to help private fund CFOs is crucial.

This is where Maybern comes in.

We are equipping fund managers with intuitive, flexible fund management software, enabling private investment managers to focus on what they do best: driving returns for their investors. We are backed by leading venture capital firms and a large number of strategic investors.

Maybern is an NYC based company with a strong in-office culture to drive collaboration, and we are looking to make strong additions to our team.

What We're Looking For

Maybern is looking for a proactive, detail-obsessed Executive Assistant & Office Manager with experience in finance and fast-paced startup environments. This is a high-impact role that will support our CEO & Co-Founder, with secondary support for additional senior leaders.

The right candidate is exceptionally organized, thrives in ambiguity, anticipates needs before they arise, and can juggle a wide range of responsibilities with discretion and adaptability. You should be comfortable and excited by the challenge of supporting multiple executives with differing styles and needs.

What You'll Do
  • Support our CEO, with an emphasis on calendar management, travel coordination, internal event planning, and culture-building.

  • Secondary calendar and travel support to additional senior executives

  • Help coordinate materials for internal and client meetings, including agendas, decks, and summaries.

  • Help coordinate key events for the leadership team, including client-facing events, dinners, and board-related meetings.

  • Build systems to streamline day-to-day executive workflows and eliminate administrative bottlenecks.

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of our office, ensuring it’s well-stocked, organized, and running smoothly.

Who You Are
  • Efficient and Organized: You thrive on getting the details right, double-checking everything, and creating clean, repeatable systems.

  • Clear Communicator. You speak and write clearly and concisely. You can handle sensitive information with poise and professionalism.

  • Proactive and Resourceful: You act without needing to be told, bring new ideas to the table, and find creative solutions to overcome challenges.

  • Business Acumen. You have a strong understanding of business principles, enabling you to assess risks, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions that drive overall success.

This Could Be a Great Fit If You…
  • Have 2-5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, or in a high-functioning operations/office management role

  • Have worked in a startup or high-growth tech company, in a role supporting leadership

  • Have supported (or worked closely with) customer-facing or revenue teams

  • Are confident using tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion

  • Love the energy of a high-growth environment where every day looks a little different

  • Have high standards, low ego, and a “no job too small” mindset

Benefits
  • We offer a competitive salary + equity package, comprehensive benefits, and a flexible family-friendly work environment. Some of our perks include:

    • Comprehensive healthcare benefits

      • Maybern covers 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
