The Enterprise Project Manager will lead complex technical consulting projects, ensuring governance, stakeholder management, budget tracking, risk management, and delivery excellence.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Project Manager to orchestrate complex, enterprise-scale technical consulting projects (typically 750+ hours). This role demands a strategic-minded professional who can navigate intricate stakeholder landscapes and act as a critical partner in project success by providing the structure, governance, and analysis needed to keep implementations aligned with enterprise objectives.
Responsibilities
Project Governance & Leadership
- Build and maintain detailed project plan frameworks, including work breakdown structures, critical paths, and dependency tracking.
- Manage project governance processes such as steering committee protocols, escalation paths, and decision frameworks.
- Develop sophisticated project charters that connect technical deliverables to enterprise-level strategic objectives and clearly defined success metrics.
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Cultivate and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish and manage client expectations and communication cadences, ensuring transparency regarding project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings and executive reporting, ensuring C-suite stakeholders have clear visibility into progress, risks, and decisions required.
- Drive cross-functional alignment by coordinating communication across technical teams, business units, vendors, and geographically distributed delivery teams.
Budget Tracking & Forecasting
- Implement robust hours budget monitoring frameworks with real-time burn rate analysis, earned value management, and predictive forecasting models.
- Conduct variance analysis, develop corrective action plans for budget deviations, and provide executives with clear budget forecasts and performance-to-plan reporting.
- Manage scope modifications and change orders with full impact assessments on budget and timeline.
Risk Management
- Maintain comprehensive RAID logs with mitigation strategies, contingency planning, and early-warning indicators for high-impact scenarios.
- Ensure critical dependencies are actively tracked, communicated, and resolved across stakeholders.
Delivery Excellence & Quality Assurance
- Implement stage-gate reviews, milestone tracking, and acceptance criteria frameworks to safeguard delivery quality.
- Coordinate UAT and adoption readiness to ensure deliverables meet business and technical requirements.
- Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
Communication & Reporting
- Develop executive-ready dashboards and status reports with KPI tracking, trend analysis, and budget performance insights.
- Facilitate structured stakeholder sessions including sprint planning, retrospectives, and weekly check-ins with clear agendas and tracked action items.
- Prepare and present project status updates to executive steering committees, including recommendations to inform strategic decisions.
- Maintain transparent communication channels through real-time project visibility tools and stakeholder portals.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of enterprise project management experience in professional services or technical consulting environments.
- Proven track record managing large-scale technical projects (750+ hours, 10–30+ contributors) with multiple integration points and dependencies.
- Demonstrated success in client-facing roles with enterprise-level organizations (Fortune 1000 preferred).
- Expert proficiency in enterprise project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (ClickUp), with the ability to adapt approaches to project requirements.
- Advanced financial management skills, including earned value management (EVM), forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience with professional services automation (PSA) tools and resource management systems.
- Strong technical understanding of software development lifecycles, system integrations, and data migration processes.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to present to C-level executives and steering committees.
- Exceptional executive presence and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across senior stakeholder groups.
- Excellent organizational discipline to keep projects moving forward amidst competing priorities.
Required Qualifications
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.
- Background in HubSpot ecosystem and CRM implementations.
- Prior consulting firm experience managing billable projects and client reporting.
- Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe, etc.).
