The Electronics Lab Technician will perform soldering and assembly of electronic components, debug and test circuits, and support engineering teams with prototypes.

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in soldering, electronics board debugging, and system testing. This role is critical in supporting the development, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic products and prototypes.
What you will do
- Perform precision soldering and assembly of surface mount (SMT) and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Debug and troubleshoot electronic boards at the component and system level using schematics, multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.
- Execute functional and system-level tests on electronic circuits and products following test procedures and protocols.
- Support engineering teams by building, modifying, and reworking prototypes.
- Maintain detailed records of test results, debug findings, and rework activities.
- Assist in the development and refinement of test setups, jigs, and fixtures.
- Follow ESD safety procedures, lab best practices, and company quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers to provide feedback on design improvements and manufacturability.
- Manage lab equipment calibration, organization, and maintenance.
What you bring to this role
- Proven experience in high-quality soldering, including SMT and fine-pitch components.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, datasheets, and assembly drawings.
- Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and function generators.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
Bonus points for the following
- IPC soldering certification (e.g., J-STD-001, IPC-A-610).
- Familiarity with microcontroller programming and firmware updates.
- Experience with automated test systems or scripting (Python, LabVIEW, etc.).
- Bachelor, Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
