SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Director of Wholesale to lead and scale our retail and hospitality partnerships. This role is responsible for owning key retail relationships, driving channel strategy, and unlocking new growth opportunities. The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with deep wholesale experience in home or lifestyle categories. They’re a relationship builder and business driver who can balance long-term vision with hands-on execution.

Location: Culver City, CA — in office M-TH

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive wholesale strategy to grow revenue, expand distribution, and strengthen brand presence across key retail channels.
  • Develop and execute multi-year growth plans with a clear, qualified initiative pipeline that aligns revenue targets with channel strategy and operational capacity.
  • Lead strategy for hospitality channel expansion through targeted product introductions, chain opportunities, and scalable sales processes.
  • Serve as the primary contact for major retail partners, managing top-to-top relationships and driving joint business plans.
  • Lead seasonal line reviews, assortment planning, and market presentations.
  • Partner with buyers and internal merchant teams to optimize product mix, merchandising strategies, and promotional calendars.
  • Oversee outbound shipment forecasts and lead inventory planning to support account demand
  • Work with Operations to ensure efficient fulfillment, terms, and logistics for all wholesale partners.
  • Analyze weekly and seasonal sales performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop tools and processes to improve visibility, efficiency, and strategic planning across the wholesale business.
  • Build, mentor, and scale the wholesale team to support growth.
  • Establish clear sales processes, reporting structures, and operational frameworks.

Who You Are:

  • 10+ years of wholesale sales experience, ideally within consumer goods, home, lifestyle, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of landing and managing major retail and hospitality accounts with measurable revenue growth.
  • Proven experience building, leading, and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with retail buyers and partners.
  • Strategic and data-driven, with experience in forecasting, pricing strategy, and margin optimization.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach.

Parachute takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. The estimated pay range for this role is $120k - $150k + commission.
