ABOUT THE TEAM
Anduril’s Manufacturing Technology, Maritime Team is seeking a Robotics Integration Engineer. The Maritime Manufacturing Technology Team is responsible for rapidly developing and implementing manufacturing technologies and processes for cutting-edge defense hardware, including deployable static and moving surface, undersea and sea to air vehicles and scaling these products in our new manufacturing facilities.
ABOUT THE JOB
As the Robotics Integration Engineer, Maritime, you will be responsible for integrating next generation automation control systems with robotic and gantry equipment and tooling designs for use in the autonomous production environment in order to drive to efficient, rapid, on-time production and quality inspection, supporting start-up and operation of the new production facilities for maritime vehicles.
The right person for this role has designed and integrated automated manufacturing systems, technologies and practices for the work environment for a variety of product lines, groups, or businesses and integrated with both internal and external customers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design and create integrated robotic control systems, incorporating next generation vision, tracking, motion capture, and scanning systems for large scale closed loop movement and inspection systems for use in at rate production, supporting factory development and the future production system, using digital thread, simulation, automation and AI to enable lean manufacturing principles, integrated metrology, automated movement and visual management, including technologies tools and processes to improve production flow while enhancing product performance, ensuring quality and optimizing space allocation and resource requirements across programs and products.
- Support design, construction, commissioning and start-up of the production robotic systems at new factory sites, ensuring successful delivery of the factory and products off the line.
- Provide support on developing product manufacturing processes, robotic systems, inspection systems, measurement platforms and new technologies. Buy down risk to meet production performance and timelines in new facilities.
- Lead hands-on: set an example and expedite project completion
- Drive collaboration with manufacturing technology, product design, manufacturing engineering, operations, facilities and construction, environmental safety & health, and finance to deliver creative and effective production system designs, as well as external vendors supporting the design, construction, and commissioning of new facilities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience as a technology developer and implementer for robotic systems and machinery using advanced control systems.
- Technology development and implementation experience in integrated robotics and gantries for use in automation and prototyping.
- Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment, next to operations and manufacturing engineering to understand and optimize the production system.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior work with architecture and infrastructure engineering partners and/or general contractors to build, improve or modify production facilities.
- Process improvement, including justification of return on investment for process or operational changes.
- Application of lean manufacturing and linear flow principles in a production environment.
- Automation and metrology development for manufacturing processes in assembly, fabrication, integration, inspection, test, and finishing operations.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
