As part of our strategy to better align with SPE IT department structured accountability model, we are enhancing our Technology Sourcing function to align with IT areas of accountability. This role will focus on Enterprise Technology sourcing, however, will also work collaboratively with Category Sourcing leads for Marketing, Production, Corporate Services & Facilities, Professional Services, and Travel to ensure a complementary and structured approach to managing procurement across diverse technology needs.  

The Director, Sourcing for Enterprise Technology, will focus on driving efficiencies, optimizing supplier relationships, and fostering innovation while ensuring alignment with broader IT and procurement strategies. This position is a key addition to support growth and enhance our sourcing capabilities in the expanding landscape of technology and automation. 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead sourcing for technology and related services across critical business areas. The Director of Sourcing will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, optimizing supplier partnerships, and ensuring procurement excellence. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, high-energy, and committed to advancing the vision of the Global Procurement organization. Prior experience in Studio, Media, and/or Sourcing environments is preferred.

 Responsibilities 

  • Strategic Expansion & Alignment:  Support the structured growth of the Technology Sourcing function by aligning sourcing strategies with IT areas of accountability, ensuring consistency across the category.
  • Strategic Sourcing Leadership:  Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies across key categories, ensuring they align with corporate goals and drive measurable value. 
  • Collaborative Leadership:  Work alongside existing Category Sourcing leaders to create synergies, ensuring a seamless and cooperative procurement environment. 
  • Partnership:  Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners, facilitating regular communication and collaboration. Act as a liaison to ensure alignment between sourcing strategies and business needs, driving problem-solving initiatives. 
  • Internal Alignment and Adoption:  Foster a mindset shift among business leaders and stakeholders to encourage openness to collaboration and partnership within the sourcing function. 
  • Technology Procurement:  Oversee sourcing and procurement of enterprise technology solutions, including cloud computing, SaaS, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and emerging digital innovations. 
  • Trusted Advisor:  Serve as a subject matter expert on sourcing processes, supplier management, and category strategy. Guide business partners by coordinating regular meetings, proactively developing materials, and fostering a culture of transparency and trust. 
  • Spend Analytics:  Perform detailed spend analysis to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and value-driven initiatives. Continuously enrich data quality to provide accurate business intelligence and enhance decision-making. 
  • Supplier Management:  Drive strategic supplier relationships, including contract management, performance evaluation, and risk mitigation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements. 
  • Agile Sourcing:  Continuously seek process improvements to streamline sourcing operations, increase efficiency, and enhance the speed and effectiveness of procurement cycles. Leverage innovative tools, automation, and data-driven insights to optimize sourcing practices. 
  • Technology & Innovation:  Leverage AI, automation, and digital procurement tools to enhance sourcing decision-making, improve efficiency, and enable real-time data analysis for strategic sourcing initiatives. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred. 
  • 10+ years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. 
  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, and operational excellence. 
  • Strong understanding of digital procurement technologies, AI, and data analytics to enhance sourcing strategies. 
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills. 
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Excel (including advance Excel functions) and Word 
  • Must be able to produce visually engaging reports to drive continuous improvement through measurement and monitoring of KPIs 
  • Must have experience or be willing to learn Agile, Scrum, Kanban methodologies.  
  • Experience in Media and Entertainment, or Technology-based industries preferred. 
  • Experience with Spend Analytics, and Source-to-Contract tools (e.g., Simfoni) preferred. 
  • Familiarity or subject matter expertise in one of more relevant sourcing categories preferred. 
  • The candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently and proactively identify potential areas for sourcing.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $162,400 to $203,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
