How You'll Lead:

The Director, Physical Revenue works across UMG’s physical business—driving revenue, margin, and execution across all labels, partners, and retail channels. This role is integral in helping to determine the physical release strategy and ensures delivery, with full accountability for how physical product is planned, produced, distributed, and sold.

How You'll Create:

Own the Business
  • Lead/integral part of physical revenue strategy across all formats, configurations, and accounts.
  • Set the standard for product, pricing, and release execution across the company.
  • Identify and unlock revenue opportunities across core and non-traditional channels.
Drive Forecasting & Investment Discipline
  • Own demand forecasts, manufacturing decisions, and inventory risk.
  • Manage P&Ls across all physical configurations.
  • Align inventory investment with commercial priorities, marketing moments, and sales expectations.
Execute Relentlessly
  • Oversee end-to-end physical release execution—from manufacturing through retail delivery.
  • Ensure product is in market, on time, and positioned to sell.
  • Eliminate gaps across supply chain, distribution, and internal teams.
Control Inventory & Supply Chain
  • Own inventory levels across all configurations—balancing availability with risk.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and distribution to drive speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Act as escalation point for manufacturing, inventory, and retail issues.
Maximize Retail Performance
  • Partner with commercial teams and retailers to drive placement, visibility, and sell-through.
  • Deliver account-specific and exclusive configurations where they drive incremental revenue.
  • Serve as lead account manager for Walmart, owning the relationship, business planning, and revenue growth.
  • Develop Walmart-specific strategies including exclusives, merchandising, and promotional programs.
  • Drive alignment with Walmart on forecasts, inventory flow, and in-store/online execution.
Measure & Improve
  • Own reporting across all physical sales and performance metrics.
  • Ensure accuracy with Billboard, Luminate, and all chart reporting.
  • Continuously improve systems, processes, and coordination to move faster and operate smarter.

Bring Your Vibe:

  • Deep experience in physical music, retail, and supply chain.
  • Strong operator with proven ownership of forecasting, inventory, and P&Ls.
  • High commercial instincts with the ability to make clear, decisive calls.
  • Effective cross-functional leader who drives alignment and accountability.
  • Experience managing key retail accounts, including Walmart, strongly preferred.

Salary Range:

$74,250 - $155,000
