Core Accountabilities

  • Serve as Pacsun’s eCommerce technology owner, leading the evaluation, prioritization, development, implementation, and optimization of all digital systems and solutions.
  • Direct high-priority eCommerce initiatives from concept to delivery, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, QA, launch, and post-live support.
  • Continuously evaluate system solutions and challenges, identify risks and opportunities for improvement, and lead cross-functional efforts to develop and execute effective strategies and approaches for risk mitigation and problem resolution.
  • Define and maintain the digital technology roadmap, evaluating and adopting innovative platforms, tools, AI capabilities, and architectures that ensure scalability, performance, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide deep expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud and related platforms, applying modern eCommerce best practices to deliver a seamless, high-performing customer experience.
  • Oversee the full digital journey—including site navigation, mobile app experience, content strategy, and checkout flow—leveraging analytics, A/B testing, and customer segmentation to optimize engagement and conversion.
  • Lead frequent, high-quality sprint deployments and ongoing platform optimizations to drive innovation, growth, and responsiveness to business needs.
  • Cultivate strong cross-functional partnerships, effectively manage competing priorities, build bridges to achieve shared objectives.
  • Collaborate across IT, Marketing, Merchandising, Operations, Finance, as well as external professional services partners, to align technology solutions with business goals.
  • Operate with the highest level of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality, serving as a visible leader of company culture, norms, and professional standards.
  • Build, lead, and retain a high-performing, collaborative team, fostering technical expertise, professional development, and a culture of transparency, accountability, and approachability.
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement for all eCommerce and marketing technology initiatives, ensuring quality, value, and fiscal responsibility.

What it takes to Join:

  • Over 10 years of demonstrated leadership and hands-on expertise in large-scale retail eCommerce and digital technology.
  • Proven ability to excel in fast-growing, dynamic business environments with competing priorities, with a positive, solution-oriented mindset combined with strong leadership and team motivation skills.
  • Architect-level proficiency in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, mobile applications, and related technologies and platforms. Deep understanding of eCommerce systems architecture, with a strategic focus on driving sustained growth and success.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining schedules and controlling budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of information security standards, PCI compliance, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in optimizing eCommerce platform performance, A/B testing, and ensuring scalability and readiness for peak seasons.
  • Experience with modern software delivery methodologies, including DevOps, Agile/Scrum, integration, and automated functional and performance testing.
  • Skilled in developing business case justifications by estimating project effort, costs, timelines, and ROI in collaboration with finance teams.
  • Strong command of project governance best practices, including sequencing recommendations and status reporting; proficient with Jira, Atlassian Suite, or similar project management tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: ($146,394-$191,388)

  • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
  • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
  • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
  • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
