As part of the eCommerce leadership team, the Director of Digital Marketing will own eCommerce full-funnel digital marketing across Wonderful Brands, FIJI water and JUSTIN Wines. With three direct reports you’ll manage all the advertising accounts for pure play and retailer.com sites. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical aptitude, strategic thinking and a growth mindset.

This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Job Description

  • Lead the strategic direction and execution of digital marketing on pureplay retailer and owned platforms across Wonderful Brands, FIJI water and JUSTIN Wines.
  • Analyze complex consumer behavior, campaign performance, and search data to develop actionable insights and guide marketing strategy and tactical decision-making.
  • Strategize, budget and plan full-funnel digital marketing programs understanding brand and retail customer challenges and opportunities in order to have our digital marketing plans support broader initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of digital marketers and data engineers, providing guidance on strategies, optimizations and spend allocation while maintaining accountability for overall departmental performance, budgets, dashboards and results.
  • Negotiate contract terms, media rates, and value-added placements with retail media network partners to maximize ROI and secure preferred inventory access.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to continue strategic partnerships and approach to retail media networks and the role of digital marketing in omnichannel grocery. Present digital marketing strategies, budget plans, and performance results to brand and cross-functional stakeholders, distilling complex data and platform mechanics into compelling, easy-to-understand narratives.
  • Research and assess industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to inform strategic planning and enhance digital marketing performance.
  • Drive the understanding, awareness and importance of digital marketing within the organization.

 

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years experience with hands-on digital marketing for Amazon, DTC, Instacart, Walmart and other retail media networks.
  • Deep hands-on experience with programmatic ads.
  • Bachelors degree in data science or marketing. MBA or MS preferred.
  • CPG, specifically food and beverage experience is desirable.
  • Deep understanding and direct hands-on experience with backend campaign optimization including audience targeting, bidding strategies and reporting capabilities with proven success in driving scalable campaigns whilst achieving financial KPIs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Amazon ecosystem, Amazon Ads and Amazon DSP platform and other Retail Media Networks in the US Grocery Sector such as Walmart Connect, Roundel, MAP, Carrot Ads and Criteo.
  • Proficiency in analytics and reporting tools including Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) and Google Analytics. Proficient in cloud-based SQL programming and data mining.
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to use data to formulate data driven decisions.
  • Be a strategic thinker and be able to challenge and be challenged to think outside the box.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities as this role spans 6 brands and dozens of accounts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to present to cross functional teams and leadership, distilling complex ideas into exciting retail growth concepts.
  • Have a curiosity for the latest eCommerce trends and a drive for continuous learning of ad theory, AI impacts and algorithm changes.

Pay Range: $180,000 - $220,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
