Hybrid, with four days minimum out of our brand new, state of the art headquarters in Los Angeles, CA

The Role: 

The Director of Brand will elevate Little Sleepies into one of the most emotionally resonant family brands in the market - through world-class story telling, content creation, and brand stewardship. Reporting to the CEO, you'll lead a talented team across brand strategy, content, influencer & partnerships, community, social and PR, ensuring every touchpoint tells a cohesive story that builds love, loyalty and long-term growth. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Brand Platform & Strategic Storytelling
    • Define and evolve the Little Sleepies brand story—articulating its voice, tone, and evolving purpose as we expand beyond sleepwear into multiple family lifestyle categories.
    • Lead content strategy and creative storytelling across all channels (site, email, social, retail, PR, paid, experiential), ensuring our voice is distinct, modern, and heartfelt.
    • Tailor storytelling for new and returning customers, creating differentiated narratives that build trust, emotional connection, and repeat purchase.
    • Adapt storytelling by category, maintaining a unified brand identity while giving each product line its own emotional hook and reason to believe.
    • Translate business strategy into emotionally resonant campaigns that drive measurable outcomes—awareness, engagement, traffic, and conversion.
    • Build and oversee a content engine that powers both major launches and evergreen storytelling, keeping Little Sleepies top of mind throughout the year.
    • Partner with creative, product, and lifecycle teams to bring founder and customer stories to life through high-quality, multi-channel content.
    • Own the brand calendar, editorial standards, and creative direction—ensuring all assets feel cohesive, elevated, and unmistakably “Little Sleepies.”
    • Lead and inspire a growing team of content creators and brand storytellers to deliver emotionally powerful, high-performing work.
  • Influencer & Partnerships
    • Lead the influencer, ambassador, and brand partnership strategy—merging storytelling with scale and credibility.
    • Identify and manage creators, talent, and brand partners who authentically reflect our values and expand reach across family, lifestyle, and culture spaces.
    • Oversee contracts, activation, and reporting for all partnership programs, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and category priorities.
  • Community, Social & PR
    • Oversee community engagement and management, fostering authentic relationships that turn customers into advocates.
    • Drive organic social strategy, ensuring our channels tell the brand story with heart, creativity, and precision.
    • Manage earned media and PR, securing meaningful press coverage that amplifies the Little Sleepies voice.
    • Evolve brand ambassador and advocacy programs into long-term, emotionally connected communities.
  • Go-to-Market Process Leadership
    • Lead the GTM process for all brand campaigns and product launches—from creative brief through content, activation, and post-launch analysis.
    • Partner cross-functionally with product, merchandising, and performance marketing to ensure every launch delivers both creative and commercial impact.
    • Systematize GTM playbooks, ensuring every drop and collaboration is executed with precision, speed, and consistency.
  • ​​Team & Operational Leadership
    • Build, coach, and lead a high-performing brand team across content, partnerships, social, and community.
    • Manage agency and creative partners, ensuring high-quality output and cost efficiency.
    • Partner with analytics and lifecycle teams to translate brand storytelling into measurable impact on acquisition, retention, and LTV

What you’ll bring to the team: 

  • 8–10 years of experience in brand storytelling, creative direction, or content leadership within a high-growth consumer or lifestyle brand.
  • Proven ability to craft narratives that connect emotionally and drive commercial results.
  • Deep experience with multi-channel content creation (video, photography, social, editorial).
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation and lifecycle marketing—able to tailor messages for new and returning audiences across multiple categories.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to inspire cross-functional collaboration and creative excellence.
