You’ll manage a team of brand marketers and collaborate closely with product, digital, creative, sales, and media partners to bring compelling brand experiences to life.

This position reports to the VP of Product Innovation & Marketing and is based out of our San Diego office.

As the Director of Brand Marketing, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Own and evolve the brand positioning, tone, and architecture for Foresight Sports and Bushnell Golf.

  • Develop annual and long-term brand plans aligned with business objectives, consumer trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Build brand frameworks and playbooks that drive consistency across global markets and customer touchpoints.

Integrated Campaign Development

  • Lead development of 360° marketing campaigns for product launches, brand moments, and seasonal initiatives.

  • Partner with internal creative teams and external agencies to produce high-impact content and advertising.

  • Ensure campaigns drive measurable outcomes across brand awareness, product demand, and engagement.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Digital, eCommerce, PR, Events, and Sales teams to ensure unified go-to-market execution.

  • Act as brand champion in cross-functional meetings, ensuring initiatives align with brand guidelines and strategic priorities.

  • Partner with insights teams to analyze brand performance and consumer feedback to continuously refine messaging.

Team Management & Agency Oversight

  • Lead and mentor a team of brand and content marketers.

  • Manage relationships with creative agencies, media partners, and production vendors to ensure quality and efficiency.

Content & Messaging

  • Oversee the development of brand messaging, video storytelling, packaging copy, brand guidelines, and tone of voice across both brands.

  • Create and maintain a strong, cohesive narrative that reinforces each brand’s identity while differentiating from competitors.

Retail & Event Marketing

  • Support retail and green grass marketing strategies, including in-store merchandising, POP, and partner brand activations.

  • Partner with Events and Experiential teams to ensure consistent brand expression at tournaments, trade shows, and consumer experiences.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.

  • 8–12 years of brand marketing experience, ideally with both premium and mass consumer brands.

  • Experience in consumer electronics, sports, lifestyle, or golf industry strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to develop and lead integrated campaigns across paid, earned, owned, and retail media.

  • Strong creative instincts with a strategic mindset — able to brief and direct world-class creative work.

  • Exceptional leadership and cross-functional communication skills.

  • Highly analytical with ability to interpret brand health data and campaign performance.

  • Passion for golf, performance sports, or enthusiast communities is a major plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
