About the Job:

Reporting to the Digital Design Manager, the Digital Designer is responsible for concept development, visual exploration and final execution of design directions for PacSun.com. The Digital Designer must be able to work successfully within a team setting that includes collaboration with other members in Marketing, Ecommerce, CRM, and Merchandising to ensure on-brand and technically sound visual design solutions.

A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:

Development

  • Concept creation, design and execution of overall visual language for pacsun.com – including website updates, emails, mobile app updates, banners and other paid online media
  • Design compelling promotional messaging with understanding hierarchy is typography and graphics
  • Strong digital animation skillset
  • Design for the digital space with understanding of the unique challenges of digital and mobile platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional to meet marketing objectives and adhere to timelines
  • Strong foundational design skills and ability to emulate brand and design standards
  • Consistently consult with Manger for guidance and validation
  • Solicits and assimilates design feedback; independently execute revisions with a high level of accuracy
  • Research and stay current with digital design trends
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn, be a team player, share information and provide a fresh perspective

Delivery

  • Understanding of web design
  • Responsible for adhering to style guide, creative direction and asset delivery requirements for web
  • Collaborates with Development Team to ensure correct implementation of approved design direction

 

What it takes to Join:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • Formal training in graphic design, typography, digital design and/or visual communications
  • 5+ year experience in Digital Ecomm Design and Production, in-house/digital experience preferred
  • Highly conceptual and ability to interpret and adapt existing brands to the interactive space
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite + Figma.
  • Working knowledge of the latest versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Strong communication and listening skills and the ability to translate feedback visually
  • Detail oriented, highly organized and a keen eye for consistency
  • Must be team-oriented, dedicated, inquisitive, and collaborative

Ability to work independently


Salary Range: ($75,920 - $82,512)

  • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
  • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
  • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
  • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
