The Instructional Designer – LMS & Digital Learning is responsible for the design, development, administration, and continuous improvement of digital learning solutions within Adobe Learning Manager. This role serves as the Training Team’s primary content development resource, creating engaging, interactive learning experiences that support operational performance, compliance requirements, and employee development.

Working closely with the Training Manager, Field Trainers, and Subject Matter Experts, the Learning Experience Designer transforms operational processes, policies, and business initiatives into high-quality digital learning content, including eLearning modules, microlearning assets, assessments, videos, simulations, and learning pathways.

This position plays a key role in expanding the organization’s digital learning capabilities by leveraging emerging technologies, including AI-assisted content development, interactive video learning, mobile-first learning experiences, and future immersive learning solutions.

Responsibilities

Digital Learning Content Development

  • Design, build, publish, and maintain interactive eLearning courses within Adobe Learning Manager.
  • Convert operational procedures, SOPs, compliance requirements, and business process changes into engaging digital learning experiences.
  • Develop eLearning modules, microlearning content, interactive knowledge checks, scenario-based activities, process simulations, and guided workflows.
  • Ensure content follows adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
  • Test and validate all content prior to publication.

LMS Administration & Governance

  • Serve as a primary administrator and content manager for Adobe Learning Manager.
  • Publish and manage learning programs, certifications, learning paths, and course assignments.
  • Monitor course effectiveness using available LMS reporting tools.
  • Maintain course version control and training documentation.
  • Support audit and compliance reporting requirements and keep training records organized and accurate.

Multimedia & Digital Asset Creation

  • Develop and edit training videos, screen recordings, instructional demonstrations, and digital learning assets.
  • Create visual learning resources and interactive media using Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Produce content optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile learning environments.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve content production efficiency where appropriate.

Assessment & Learning Reinforcement Development

  • Design and maintain pre-training assessments, post-training assessments, knowledge checks, and skills validations.
  • Develop supplemental learning activities that support Virtual Instructor-Led Training programs.
  • Create mini-modules and reinforcement content that can be used before, during, and after instructor-led sessions.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Training Needs Support

  • Partner with Field Trainers, operational leaders, and Subject Matter Experts to identify training needs.
  • Participate in content review and validation sessions.
  • Gather feedback and incorporate improvements into learning content.
  • Support major operational initiatives through targeted learning solutions.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Research emerging learning technologies and instructional design trends.
  • Evaluate opportunities for AI-generated content, interactive learning experiences, video-based microlearning, and immersive or VR/360 learning solutions.
  • Recommend improvements that enhance learner engagement and scalability.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Training & Development, Learning Technologies, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical/Professional Accreditation: Required technical skills include Adobe Learning Manager, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Articulate Storyline. Preferred experience includes SCORM and xAPI learning standards, AI-powered content development tools, video learning content, screen-recording demonstrations, and immersive learning technologies such as VR, 360-degree video, or simulation-based learning.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience developing eLearning or digital learning content, creating and publishing training content within a Learning Management System, working with operational Subject Matter Experts, managing multiple projects and competing deadlines, and building knowledge assessments and learner evaluations.
