Digital Campaign Manager – Verticals Specialist

*This is a remote position that requires you to work closely and collaboratively with a team.*

About Townsquare Ignite:

Founded in 2010, Townsquare Ignite products and solutions are a combination of our owned and operated digital properties, our proprietary digital programmatic advertising platform, and an in-house demand and data management platform collecting valuable proprietary first-party data, and is the fastest growing revenue and profit driver of Townsquare Media.

Our Approach to Verticals:

Townsquare Ignite has built vertically focused teams dedicated to high-growth industries, including In-Home Services (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, windows, and general contracting), QSR (Quick Service Restaurant), and Legal. These vertical teams are purpose-built with sellers, buyers, creative, and account management professionals who bring deep industry expertise and deliver tailored, results-driven campaigns.

The Digital Campaign Manager – Verticals Specialist plays a critical role in supporting this vertically aligned team by ensuring campaigns are strategically structured, flawlessly launched, and continuously optimized to meet the unique needs of their vertical.

The Digital Campaign Manager Opportunity:

The Digital Campaign Manager serves as the post-sale, campaign execution, and optimization expert. This role is not sales-focused; instead, it partners closely with Digital Solutions Managers (sales), centralized buying teams, analytics, and client services to deliver high-performing campaigns and exceptional client outcomes.

As the technical and strategic hub for the vertical, you will apply industry-specific insights to campaign setup, optimization, and reporting—helping drive client retention, upsell opportunities, and long-term growth within their vertical category.

Responsibilities:

Vertical Partnership & Strategy

  • Act as the dedicated campaign management partner for the vertical sales team.
  • Apply industry-specific best practices to campaign structure, targeting, and optimization.
  • Coach and support sales partners on product capabilities, vertical nuances, and campaign strategy.
  • Provide proactive insights and recommendations to improve performance and reduce cancellations.

Campaign Pre-Launch

  • Review and technically approve proposals built by sales strategists with the correct vertical lens.
  • Guide sales on effective messaging and KPI alignment for vertical-specific tactics (programmatic, social, SEM, LSA, CTV, etc.).
  • Assign targeting strategies based on industry trends, seasonality, and service-area considerations.
  • Ensure all campaign elements are complete and accurate prior to launch (creative, pixels, goals, flighting).
  • Compile insertion orders and coordinate trafficking with centralized buying teams.

Campaign Post-Launch & Optimization

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between local markets and Ignite’s buying, analytics, and client services teams.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations based on vertical benchmarks and client objectives.
  • Support revisions, optimizations, renewals, and upsell opportunities driven by performance insights.
  • Ensure seamless communication and continuity across all internal teams supporting verticalization.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Participate in regular virtual team meetings to foster collaboration and alignment.
  • Maintain strong relationships across sales, buying, analytics, and creative teams.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in digital advertising, campaign management, or media operations.
  • Strong understanding of digital ad messaging best practices (does not create ads).
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience supporting verticalized or industry-specific accounts is a plus.
  • 4-year college degree or comparable work experience required.

Benefits:

  • 3 weeks of PTO (+ 9 paid holidays)
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • Casual, high-energy work environment
  • Opportunity for upward mobility
  • Company provided laptop
  • Competitive salary

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
