Love our aesthetic? We’re on the search for a Graphic Designer to support Hot Topic’s marketing initiatives. In the role, you’ll support the creative team in developing a wide range of creative assets – both print and digital. This is a broad reaching role that covers designing creative assets based upon approved campaigns, photo editing and retouching, building print-ready file, preparing digital assets for use in emails and on our website. You’ll also support digital asset management by maintaining files, digital assets, and server organization. This role operates from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA 3-4 days a week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Under direction of the Creative Director, design layouts for print and online content including in-store signage, website, emails and more.
  • Clips and retouches photos for digital and print assets.
  • Communicate and interact well with peers, supervisors and client representatives (be a team player).
  • Accept assigned projects and execute materials based on specs provided from supervisor.
  • Attend appropriate meetings on the projects assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Solid design chops and experience in Adobe Creative Suite
  • At least 3 years of graphic design experience (in-house or agency) including photo editing and clipping
  • Ability to follow a style guide/concept and produce final art for both print and web
  • Familiar with Prepress techniques, packaging and file preparation.
  • AA in Graphic Arts or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of pop culture and music.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Focused attention to details.
  • Ability to work under pressure without compromising performance or accuracy in a deadline oriented environment.
