JOB DESCRIPTION

TMZ is looking for a Graphic Designer who will be responsible for creating graphics and visuals for all TMZ related projects, including but not limited to TMZ TV, TMZ sports, TMZ live, TMZ social, and TMZ Studio specials. The Graphic Designer will contribute their design sensibilities to create innovative design solutions and to develop creative concepts for TMZ. This position will report to the Creative Director and will be based in Playa Vista, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day graphical asset prep for all TMZ / TMZ Studio projects and concept projects
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Supervisor, Editorial team, Editors, and other team members on creative concepts
  • Contribute daily to the creative process by coming up with innovative design ideas to further enhance and build the look of TMZ / TMZ Studio projects
  • Create in-show graphics for all TMZ special projects
  • Extensive work in After Effects and Photoshop

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design (commercial or broadcast preferred)
  • Must have exceptional knowledge in Photoshop
  • Must have exceptional knowledge in After Effects
  • Knowledge of C4D, a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced news environment
  • Great communication skills with the ability to work well with dynamic personalities

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-116,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
