The PositionThe Corporate Strategy team is a high-performing group responsible for building strategic expertise and excellence across Roche. We work collaboratively with strategy teams throughout various functions and units to ensure aligned priorities, an integrated strategic roadmap, and consistent implementation. Our goal is to maximize the overall value delivery of the Roche Corporate Strategy unit, unlocking the power of our organization and setting Roche up for long-term success.
The OpportunityAs the Corporate Strategy Lead, you'll report directly to the Head of Corporate Strategy. This role involves leading high-impact strategic initiatives and actively contributing to the continuous development and implementation of the strategy for the Roche Group and its operating model, directly influencing the company's overall strategic, financial, and operational performance.
We are looking for a visionary and seasoned senior strategist with a proven capability in defining, shaping, and embedding corporate strategies to achieve maximum impact for the organization.
Provide expertise in current and future healthcare market trends, offering thought leadership and direction that will shape our Corporate Strategy.
Develop and align strategic priorities and objectives, leading key initiatives and programs linked to these priorities.
Build a strong network across different strategy groups and key stakeholders within the organization to create a platform for sharing, learning, and maximizing impact.
Further develop and refine aspects of our overarching operating model and prioritize operating model aspects to be addressed in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
Guide and support various units and functions of Roche in their strategy development and implementation, driving strategic excellence.
Travel internationally up to 25% of the time, depending on ongoing business activities.
A university degree in a relevant discipline with 5-8+ years of experience in relevant consulting, strategy, or business leadership roles within Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, or Diagnostics sectors.
A background in strategy consultancy and business roles, demonstrating proven capability in defining, shaping, and embedding corporate strategies for maximum organizational impact.
An in-depth understanding of the healthcare sector, including healthcare systems and trends, market and competitor landscapes, new customer groups (providers and patients), and associated business models.
Strong leadership experience, including developing diverse, global teams and enterprise-level matrix leadership, with practical experience structuring large programs and coordinating teams.
Systematic thinking and proven problem-solving skills, coupled with extensive experience in global and enterprise-level strategy development and rollout, strategic planning, and strategic methodologies.
