At Turion Space, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that drives innovation and supports critical business functions. As a Corporate Functions Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, Marketing, Finance, Legal, or Human Resources. Key Responsibilities:
Assist teams with day-to-day operations and projects in Cybersecurity, Marketing, HR, Legal, or Finance.
Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports to support business needs.
Help organize and maintain documentation, presentations, and internal communications.
Participate in meetings, brainstorming sessions, and contribute ideas for process improvements.
Support administrative tasks and ensure timely completion of assigned deliverables.
What You'll Learn:
Marketing: Basics of campaign planning, social media strategies, and analytics.
HR: Onboarding processes, employee engagement, and HR compliance fundamentals.
Legal: Exposure to space law, contract review, compliance, and risk management principles.
Finance: Financial reporting, budgeting, and data analysis techniques.
Cybersecurity: How to mitigate common security threats and vulnerabilities.
How satellites are designed, built, and operated.
Professional communication, time management, and collaboration skills.
How cross-functional teams work together in a corporate environment.
What we're looking for:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, HR, Finance, Law, or related fields.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must be able to work full time (40 hours per week), on-site in Irvine, CA for 12 consecutive weeks between May – September 2026.
Must be able to provide your own transportation and housing.
Nice to have:
GPA of 3.5 or above
Passion for, and knowledge of, aerospace and space technology
Interest in learning about multiple business functions.
Openings:
Marketing: Assist with creating social media posts, organizing campaign materials, and learn how marketing strategies drive brand awareness.
Human Resources: Help with updating HR records, I-9 verification processes, and supporting employee engagement activities to understand HR operations.
Legal: Learn how to organize legal documents, assist with basic compliance research, and gain exposure to contract management processes, template development, deal desk support, and more.
Finance: Support data entry, help prepare simple financial reports, and learn how budgeting and expense tracking work in a business setting.
Cybersecurity: Assist in configuring and tuning SIEM tools to reduce false positives, monitor real-time alerts, and escalate potential threats following established playbooks. Help maintain and update security policies, audit logs, and compliance documentation to align with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, or SOC 2. Support vulnerability assessments, patch management, and implementation of baseline security configurations for servers, endpoints, and network devices.
Corporate Functions Summer Internship Pay: $25/hr
ITAR Requirements:
This position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
