Manager, Content Strategy & Development - LA, SF or NY

As a member of the Global Business Marketing team, working from one of our US office locations ( Los Angeles, San Francisco or NY), you’ll lead content strategy and development (e.g. narratives, positioning, and architecture of messaging hierarchy) across the Snapchat business ecosystem in an effort to educate the market about our platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working cross-functionally to lead our content strategy, and experience translating data and insights into client-facing messaging that communicates marketing opportunities and client value. This is a leadership position that will be an integral participant in the content we are creating for our Snapchat Business Marketing campaigns, as well as which marketing channels, partners and stages we surface that content on. It will be this person’s responsibility to ensure that our marketing programs utilize content efficiently and effectively. This position reports to the Global Head of Business Marketing.
What you’ll do:
Oversee the creation and adoption of Snapchat Business Marketing content across our ecosystem
Lead, develop and execute multi-faceted narratives that drive acquisition, engagement and retention for Snapchat Business Solutions.
Work cross-functionally with the rest of the global business marketing team to ensure we’re creating the right content for the right channels, with the right messaging, to better support business objectives.
Collaborate with our Communications Team to ensure we’re telling the right stories at the right times, with our content.
Work in concert with the Snapchat Marketing Design editorial team to ensure consistency across content created for advertisers, brands, agencies as well as our business consumers.
Use data to help inform content strategy and decisions, analyze winning content and amplification to build scalable solutions
Write creative briefs and maintain the relationship with agencies both internal and external.
Thought partner with Consumer Insights and Marketing Science Research to inform research studies that will drive our narratives
Develop and maintain best-in-class collateral that supports the Sales teams’ always-on education needs and demonstrate the value of Snapchat to clients (master narratives).
Increase advertiser consideration of Snapchat by developing content for tentpole industry events (e.g. CES, Advertising Week, Cannes, SXSW).
Act as an expert on our content inventory to scale efforts across Global Business Marketing Team marketing and sales teams needs
Manage budgets for content development and GTM programs
Manage two content strategists (US + International focused) to scale development efforts and marketing platforms.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or degree equivalency
7+ years of relevant experience in content strategy and development
Preferred qualifications:
Storyteller with experience translating insights, product information and data into client-facing marketing presentations that demonstrate client value
Cross-functional leadership with proven success managing a team to deliver against a common goal.
Excellent relationship management abilities/strong interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organization skills, acute attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and time sensitive environment.
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of professionalism.
Ability to influence others; handle conflict appropriately, know when to delegate issues cross-cross-functionally, and when to apply common sense.
You work well under pressure, are results-oriented, upbeat, and focused, with a strong passion to learn and succeed. Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance, and to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Experience guiding creative production of campaigns, printed collateral, presentations, websites, videos, and other marketing materials
Experience thinking creatively, communicating and presenting to large groups
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, and ability to engage all levels of the organization
Travel required, as needed
