International Content Lead

We’re looking for an International Content Lead to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Spotlight Content team, you will lead a team of curators to identify the best content on Spotlight around the world as well as help build out strategy and reporting to serve the expansion of Spotlight globally. Working from our Los Angeles or New York office, you will collaborate with the broader Content team as well as our Talent, Partnerships, International, and Product teams to build Spotlight into a compelling destination for audiences and creators around the world.
What you’ll do:
Manage a team of curators responsible for identifying trending content, amplifying creators, and improving the content on Spotlight across a variety of international markets. Oversee team work product, ensure that contractors are adhering to best practices, and consolidate information into actionable feedback and reporting.
Supervise a 7-day-a-week schedule that crosses borders and timezones, ensuring that there are no gaps in our understanding or moderation of Spotlight content.
Work directly with cross-functional teams, leveraging your content expertise to lead strategic initiatives across departments.
Serve as a key partner in the development of the Spotlight creator ecosystem, providing content ideas, feedback, and reporting to help creators and partners succeed on the platform.
Be an expert in internet culture and deeply understand how content platforms work, with a particular focus on UGC.
Understand the cultural nuances and needs of our diverse global audience and have a solid track record of creating inclusive content.
Present trends and analysis to the broader Snap team, serving as a leader and spokesperson for UGC content on the platform. Understand and analyze engagement data in order to compose actionable insights.
Help to develop incentives and platform feedback mechanisms that encourage inclusive and high-quality content creation from the entire Snapchat community. Help to develop creative tools and content formats that help more of our community express themselves.
Develop a grasp of the Snapchat style and voice in order to extend the product offering in an authentic and grounded manner.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience leading teams, especially linguistically and/or culturally diverse teams
Understanding of content platforms, especially UGC
Outstanding project management and execution skills
Facility conducting analysis and presenting outputs in order to influence high-level strategy and decision making
Experience developing operational and reporting processes
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
5+ years working in digital content or social media
Experience working with non-US content
Preferred Qualifications:
Comfort with data and dashboard applications (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
Experience developing operational and reporting processes
Non-english language skills
Passion for the evolution of content and entertainment
