Brand Video Producer / Director

Who We’re Seeking:
The Content Team at Omaze is responsible for the creation of all of Omaze’s marketing deliverables ranging from video to design and copy. The Brand Video Producer/Director will play a key role in creating Omaze’s charity and winner-focused video content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Brand Video Editor to lay the foundation of new Brand Video branch of the Content Team
- Produce and direct short-form pieces (2-5 minutes) that showcase our various winners enjoying their prizes, everything ranging from meeting a celebrity to taking home their dream car
- Produce and direct short-form pieces (2-5 minutes) that shine a spotlight on the various cause partners that we work with and the work they’re doing in the world
- Collaborate with other freelance producers and directors to help with bandwidth when necessary
- Oversee the creative aspect of brand video post-production, including creatively reviewing edits and providing feedback to editors
- Collaborate with Brand Video Editor to ideate and brainstorm new ways to use video to explain Omaze’s impact in the world with an emphasis on winner and charity stories.
- Lead Brand Content Team with inspiration and motivation, while providing a positive work environment:
- Share team goals, support individual goal creation, and monitor progress and performance
- Develop and evolve team skill sets and capabilities
- Build and support career paths for direct reports
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s or above in film or communication
- 5+ years of filmmaking experience with an emphasis on directing unscripted short-form documentaries
- Experience in all facets of filmmaking, i.e., writing, producing, directing, editing
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
- Experience interviewing subjects with an ear for the editing process
- Experience working with editors and a demonstrated ability to creatively shepherd projects from development through post-production
- Experience leading a creative team in a long-term capacity
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- A strong knowledge of pop culture is essential while knowledge of sports, travel, and/or cars is a plus.
- Experience working on content featuring A-list talent is a plus
- Experience working with charities is a plus
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
- A Valid US Passport is a plus
