About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager to own NexGen's content engine, from strategy and search insight through production, distribution, and measurement. Reporting directly to the CMO, you will identify what our buyers are searching for, build the content that answers it, and scale it across every channel where remote and hybrid leaders spend their time. You will produce video from concept to final cut, create thought leadership in multiple formats, and own the editorial calendar, brand voice, and messaging that bring our Community, Collaboration, Culture, and Communication story to life. To succeed, you should be a strategic storyteller, a hands-on creator, and an analytical marketer who uses AI and data to work smarter.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Use SEO and GEO (generative engine optimization) research to identify content gaps and buyer needs, then build and scale content programs to meet them
  • Own the editorial calendar, brand voice, and messaging consistency across all content and channels
  • Produce video from beginning to end: concept, scripting, filming, editing, and publishing
  • Create thought leadership pieces in various formats, including articles, guides, webinars, and executive bylines
  • Single source content: create core assets once and repurpose them across formats and channels
  • Develop short-form content for social and video platforms such as LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts
  • Distribute and promote content across a wide variety of owned, earned, and paid platforms
  • Leverage AI for research, process improvement, and content structuring
  • Measure content outcomes with analytics tools and use the results to refine strategy and prioritize future content
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success on content that supports the buyer journey and customer retention

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS content marketing experience
  • SEO/GEO experience identifying content needs and building and scaling content to meet them
  • Proven experience creating video from beginning to end
  • Ability to create thought leadership pieces in various formats
  • Knowledge of single-sourcing content for reuse across formats and channels
  • Experience distributing content on a wide variety of platforms
  • Working knowledge of short-form content formats and best practices
  • Experience measuring content outcomes with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and marketing automation or CRM platforms
  • Ability to leverage AI in research, process improvement, and content structuring
  • Experience owning an editorial calendar and maintaining brand voice and messaging consistency
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your work across written, video, and short-form content
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision in a 100% remote environment

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience creating sales enablement content such as case studies, battlecards, one-pagers, and email assets
  • Experience creating customer marketing content such as customer stories, testimonials, and onboarding or adoption content
  • Background in collaboration, workplace, or workforce technology a plus
  • Highly analytical, with a track record of using data to improve content performance
  • Creative, self-directed, and comfortable taking a project from idea to published asset

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
