Dermalogica continues to lead the professional skin care industry with distribution in over 80 countries. Our entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on environment and fast-paced culture encourages employees to be their best, bringing innovative solutions to reach the skin care professional and consumer. We are highly energetic, passionate, and results oriented. You will find that Dermalogica is a very special place, with tremendous opportunities ahead for us, all building upon a record of achievement.

The challenge is to build on the legacy of our brand, our experienced team and our industry leading education to deliver profitable growth. One of the key elements for our success, and critical for our growth, is bringing in the right people to join our team. We invite you to come and make a difference and grow your career with the global leader in skin care.

As the Community Partnerships Coordinator, you help grow and activate Dermalogica PRO’s community of advocates, contributing to the overall growth of Dermalogica’s Earned Media Value (EMV). You’ll source new advocates and move the roster through its full lifecycle: onboarding, nurturing active members, re-engaging those who’ve gone quiet, and running the gifting and seeding that keeps them posting. From outreach and relationship-building to gifting logistics and trend research, you play a pivotal role in driving authentic engagement and awareness across the professional community, ultimately scaling EMV.

This role is responsible for:

  • Source and identify Professional Skin Care Providers and creators who align with the brand’s values and target audience, building authentic relationships that drive Earned Media Value (EMV) growth.
  • Onboard new advocates into the program with welcome communications, assets, and clear expectations, so they begin contributing quickly.
  • Manage organic and paid advocate partnerships end-to-end: source and recruit paid partners, track paid advocate deliverables and performance against EMV goals.
  • Move the advocate roster through its lifecycle: nurturing active members, deepening relationships, and re-engaging lapsed advocates to sustain consistent organic engagement.
  • Run gifting and seeding: manage shipping logistics for community gifting, sampling, and giveaways, including coordinating shipments, tracking deliveries, timing distribution to campaigns, and maintaining an accurate, up-to-date seeding list.
  • Maintain clear tiering across organic and paid advocates so each receives the right level of investment, support, and expectations.
  • Serve as the day-to-day owner of community campaign execution, fully understanding each campaign's goals and messaging (set by the Senior Manager) and rolling it out to the advocate roster through clear briefs and activation.
  • Track campaign participation and momentum across the community, making sure advocates deliver on time and surfacing results to the Senior Manager, Earned Social.
  • Maintain advocate records and tier lists, and research emerging trends, influencer strategies, and competitor activity to shape outreach, using CreatorIQ, Dash Hudson, or similar platforms.
  • Track and analyze all advocate campaigns and community activity against Earned Media Value (EMV) goals, using the data to optimize discovery, nurturing, and activation, and keep the program on target.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
