About ElevenLabs

ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company transforming how we interact with technology.

We launched in January 2023 with the first human-like AI voice model. Today, we serve millions of users and thousands of businesses - from fast-growing startups to large enterprises like Deutsche Telekom and Meta. Our investors are some of the world's most prominent, including Andreessen Horowitz, ICONIQ Growth and Sequoia. We've raised $781M in funding and our last valuation was $11B - multiples of 11, always.
We have expanded from voice into three main platforms:

  • ElevenAgents enables businesses to deliver seamless and intelligent customer experiences, with the integrations, testing, monitoring, and reliability necessary to deploy voice and chat agents at scale.

  • ElevenCreative empowers creators and marketers to generate and edit speech, music, image, and video across 70+ languages.

  • ElevenAPI gives developers access to our leading AI audio foundational models.

Everything we do is the result of the creativity and commitment of our team - builders doing the best work of their lives. We are researchers, engineers, and operators. IOI medalists and ex-founders. If you want to work hard and create lasting positive impact, we want to hear from you.

How we work
  • High-velocity: Rapid experimentation, lean autonomous teams, and minimal bureaucracy.

  • Impact not job titles: We don’t have job titles. Instead, it’s about the impact you have. No task is above or beneath you.

  • AI first: We use AI to move faster with higher-quality results. We do this across the whole company—from engineering to growth to operations.

  • Excellence everywhere: Everything we do should match the quality of our AI models.

  • Global team: We prioritize your talent, not your location.

What we offer
  • Innovative culture: You’ll be part of a generational opportunity to define the trajectory of AI, surrounded by a team pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

  • Growth paths: Joining ElevenLabs means joining a dynamic team with countless opportunities to drive impact - beyond your immediate role and responsibilities.

  • Learning & development: ElevenLabs proactively supports professional development through an annual discretionary stipend.

  • Social travel: We also provide an annual discretionary stipend to meet up with colleagues each year, however you choose.

  • Annual company offsite: Each year, we bring the entire team together in a new location - past offsites have included Croatia and Italy.

  • Co-working: If you’re not located near one of our main hubs, we offer a monthly co-working stipend.

About the role

Comms is a small, newly formed function, and we’re looking for someone to help define how the world perceives ElevenLabs as we expand beyond our roots in voice AI. You’ll work closely with our growth, engineering, policy, and leadership teams to increase awareness of what we’re building and the future we’re working towards.

You’ll be responsible for a combination of:

  • Shaping perceptions of ElevenLabs, with strategies, stories and updates that advance how the world thinks about us.

  • Creating compelling content that earns organic interest, from blogs and event talk tracks, to demos and social posts.

  • Running ElevenLabs' social presence on X and LinkedIn, managing the calendar and finding creative ways to bring our work to life.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, writers, and other important players across the business, tech, and creator ecosystem.

  • Working closely with domain experts across the company to translate their work into compelling narratives that land with specific audiences (for example, building awareness of ElevenAgents with enterprise leaders).

  • Establishing the infrastructure that keeps communications running at global scale, including introducing new systems, managing agencies, and coordinating with internal teams.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be genuinely fascinated by what AI is making possible and closely follow how it's developing – the technical progress, how it’s being deployed, and how the world is receiving it. You’ll be excited by AI voice and agents specifically, and motivated to help the world understand what ElevenLabs does and why it matters.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A builder by instinct. You think from first principles, invent new approaches, and get energy from creating things that didn't exist before.

  • A superb communicator. Your writing is precise and compelling across short and long formats, and you speak with clarity and conviction.

  • Resourceful and fast. You thrive at a blistering pace, manage ambiguity, and ship quickly without losing rigour.

  • Deeply curious with a clear spike. You’re a voracious learner, with standout strength in at least one area that sets you apart.

  • Excited about AI as a force multiplier. You actively use AI tools in your own workflows and see them as a way for a small, ambitious team to scale its impact.

Location

This role is remote and can be executed globally. However, to facilitate working with others in the comms, growth and leadership teams, we prefer candidates based in the US or UK.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
