In order to address the most critical needs of our clients, RSM US LLP established the Cyber Consulting practice, comprised of more than 300 professionals dedicated exclusively to serving the cybersecurity needs of our clients. This group includes experienced consultants located throughout the globe dedicated to helping clients with preventing, detecting, responding and recovering to security threats that may affect their critical systems and data. We serve a diverse client base within a variety of industries and are focused on meeting our clients where they need us most across a variety of security and risk domains - helping them realize their stated outcomes through our cyber advisory, assessment, implementation and managed solutions.   
 
We are seeking an individual with both broad and deep cloud implementation and migration experience with a focus on securing complex multi-cloud and hybrid environments to join our team and lead the continued growth of our cloud security practice serving RSM clients in a variety of industries and geographic locations. The successful candidate will have solid working knowledge of cloud security leading practices, understanding of cloud architecture models, leading vendor products and solutions, cloud technology trends and innovation as well as experience leveraging this knowledge to benefit global organizations. The candidate will also possess strong leadership traits and exhibit a proven track record of developing, launching and operating complex cloud security practices. This individual will ultimately be responsible for the long-term vision of the cloud security practice, including the focus on developing and expanding the portfolio of solutions that are available to clients. 

As a leader supporting the Cyber practice, the successful candidate is responsible for developing strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses, the challenges they face and the outcomes they are looking to achieve. The selected candidate will identify, pursue and close new opportunities with both existing and new clients and will provide subject matter knowledge to support the efforts of the broader consulting practice. This individual will also work across multiple client account teams within a wide variety of industries. The candidate is responsible to lead multiple team engagements simultaneously, including several threads of complex implementation and migration engagements. In addition, this individual will be responsible for leading a global team of cloud security specialists, developing go to market solutions, working with industry leading cloud providers and technology vendors, and championing the cloud security practice throughout the Firm.

  

Successful candidates typically have 10+ years of experience in the following areas: 

  • Developing the strategy and setting direction for the practice to drive a global team of consultants serving a diverse client base 

  • Identifying and building cloud based solutions to drive growth in project-based and managed services  

  • Confidently speaking with knowledgeable clients on the topic of cloud strategy, architecture, workload migration planning and common security practices such as landing zones 

  • Eminence building in the cloud industry through frequent publishing and speaking on relevant topics 

  • Managing relationships with major cloud platform providers – AWS, Azure, GCP – including working with partner representatives, maintaining executive level relationships and cultivating sales channels 

  • Understanding the financial, human resources and operational responsibilities of operating a global consultant practice 

  • Recruiting top cloud security talent through your network and eminence activities 

  • Identifying, helping qualify, pursue and win client engagements in cloud security including, but not limited to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other common Cloud IaaS and SaaS solutions (e.g. Alibaba, DigitalOcean) 

  • Providing cloud security subject matter knowledge on client engagements to assist with developing cloud security strategies and roadmap, architecture, leading practices and operational effectiveness 

  • Acting as a subject matter specialist for cloud security including, but not limited to identity and access management, network security, data encryption (in motion/at rest), API gateway security, infrastructure hardening and security, change management and change control, insider threat, monitoring/alerting 

  • Providing leading practices in cloud security operations, incident response, business resiliency 

  • Understanding common cloud deployment models (private, public, hybrid) including platform types (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) 

  • Fluency in cloud security leading practices (CSA best practices guide, AWS Security Best Practices, Google Best Practices for Enterprise Organizations, others) 

  • Executing solution delivery engagements for both small and large cloud environments 

  • Designing, architecting, implementing and supporting simple to complex enterprise cloud solutions for a variety of business use cases and requirements. Guiding and mentoring clients through the entire process 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree or graduate degree and 10+ years of related work experience 

  • High proficiency with popular cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) 

  • High proficiency with the tools and techniques for securing multi-cloud and hybrid environments 

  • Knowledge and proficiency with popular cloud security services (VPC, RDS, IAM, WAF, IDS/IPS, AS3, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Inspector, Config, etc.) 

  • Experience with private, public and hybrid cloud deployments 

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally 

  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external resources at all organizational levels 

  • Excellent project management, organization, and follow-up skills 

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills 

  • Must be a team player; able to work in virtual teams and independently 

  • Willingness and ability to travel globally 

  • Strong financial and business acumen, and ability to speak about technology in the language of business 

  • Curiosity about business and technology; motivated with a desire to learn 

Experience with the following platforms is preferred: 

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Computing Services, Google Cloud Platform GCP, Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud 

  • Cloudflare, Akamai, Imperva, Fastly 

  • Cloud access service brokers such as Netskope, ZScaler, McAfee, Forcepoint 

  • Containers (Kubernetes, Docker) and security leading practices

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $134,000 - $269,000

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
