Who We Are

CEO Life is a private executive leadership community uniting established CEOs, founders, and senior executives across cities and regions, and increasingly around the world. Members are accomplished leaders who value discretion, depth, and stewardship, and our chapters give them a place to gather, grow, and give by building real relationships instead of simply collecting contacts.

About the Role

CEO Life is hiring its first Chief Marketing Officer to build and lead the marketing engine behind our next stage of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will own the system that generates the awareness, leads, and qualified appointments each chapter needs to add 20 new members every month.

This isn’t a traditional brand marketing role. It's a high-accountability growth role for a builder who wants the opportunity to create the strategy, systems, and infrastructure needed to turn the Road to 20 into a repeatable system across dozens of markets, and ultimately hundreds. You'll co-own the Road to 20 with the Chief Revenue Officer, stay close to performance, and own the results.

What You’ll Do

• Co-own the Road to 20 with the CRO, CEO Life's operating system for generating 20 new members per month, per chapter, and build an individualized marketing plan for every chapter based on its market, maturity, and available channels.

• Build a predictable acquisition engine that generates 6 to 10 qualified appointments per business day, per chapter, working backward from membership goals to the lead volume, budget, and conversion rates required.

• Lead paid media strategy across Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging channels, including audiences, creative, offers, budgets, and testing, and decide where to invest more, invest less, or stop.

• Design and continually improve the full prospective-member journey, from ad to landing page to application to appointment, including email, SMS, retargeting, and nurture sequences.

• Set the creative and messaging strategy for member acquisition and quickly replicate winning campaigns across markets.

• Build and manage the marketing function as the business grows, including agencies, media partners, and Marketing Managers, with clear playbooks, KPIs, QA standards, and performance reviews.

• Build dashboards and scorecards that show spend, leads, appointments, show rates, conversion, new members, and acquisition cost by chapter and channel, and use them to make fast decisions.

• Partner closely with the CRO and Sales team on lead quality, appointment quality, and conversion so marketing performance connects to revenue, and communicate clearly with Chapter Partners about results, what is working, and what is being done to fix what is not.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in growth or performance marketing, including 5+ years in marketing leadership, with a track record of scaling a company through multi-channel lead generation, high-ticket sales, and digital marketing.

• A track record of building marketing programs and processes, not simply inheriting established ones.

• Demonstrated experience managing significant advertising budgets across multiple markets or business units at the same time.

• Enough depth in performance marketing, including Meta and LinkedIn advertising, attribution, and conversion, to challenge an agency, media buyer, or Marketing Manager when the numbers do not add up.

• Experience managing marketing teams or agency partners, ideally across multiple markets.

• Strong command of analytics, KPIs, reporting, marketing automation, and AI tools that improve speed and results, and the ability to turn data into quick decisions.

• Confidence communicating with sophisticated business owners and executives.

• Experience marketing to CEOs, entrepreneurs, executives, or affluent consumers, or in memberships, franchises, multi-location businesses, or high-ticket services, is highly valuable.

• A builder and operator mindset: highly analytical, organized, and decisive, and energized by a fast-paced, startup environment.

Benefits

• Competitive executive compensation package with significant performance-based earning potential

• Fully remote, with minimal travel for company events a few times per year

• The opportunity to build the revenue organization behind CEO Life's next stage of growth, with a vision to reach 50,000 leaders across 150+ U.S. and global chapters by 2030

• A seat at the executive table with direct ownership of the sales infrastructure, team, and strategy needed to help turn that vision into reality

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
