The Opportunity

You will be the operating backbone of Superhuman’s Mail business — translating strategy into execution, increasing decision velocity, and ensuring our highest-impact initiatives land. As a trusted partner to the Exec Team, you will drive alignment, embed AI leverage into how the business runs, and keep the organization operating at peak performance. This role is based in our San Francisco hub and requires in-office presence 3 times per week.

What You’ll Do

Run the Mail Operating System to drive speed, clarity, and leverage

  • Own and evolve the BU’s operating cadence (OKRs, business reviews, offsites, weekly forums) to maximize focus and execution velocity.

  • Build the systems that give leadership real-time visibility into business health (dashboards, scorecards, planning frameworks).

  • Embed AI into core workflows — piloting and scaling tools that increase output, improve decision quality, and reduce manual work.

  • Turn data and signals into clear recommendations that enable faster, higher-quality decisions.

Drive cross-functional collaboration + execution to ensure the most important work ships

  • Lead the highest-priority cross-functional initiatives as PMO — from scoping through delivery.

  • Align Mail with GTM (Sales, Marketing, CS) and G&A (Finance, People, Legal) on priorities, resourcing, and execution.

  • Proactively identify and resolve breakdowns across teams to prevent drag on execution.

Drive high-leverage strategic projects aimed at accelerating growth

  • Partner with the Mail Executive Team on the highest-impact strategic initiatives (growth, expansion, operational bets).

  • Build the materials and analysis that support M-Team, Board, and executive decision-making.

  • Independently drive priority initiatives from problem definition to measurable outcomes.

Qualifications
  • 8–12 years in business operations, strategy, consulting, or high-growth tech;

  • Proven track record running operating cadences (OKRs, business reviews, planning rhythms).

  • Experience embedding AI into workflows and driving measurable adoption.

  • Strong PMO and cross-functional leadership across complex, high-stakes initiatives.

  • Exceptional communicator — distills complexity into clear, executive-ready insights.

  • Highly analytical; comfortable with models, dashboards, and performance frameworks.

  • Thrives in ambiguity; brings structure without slowing pace.

  • High ownership and accountability; pushes through the messy middle to outcomes.

  • Enterprise mindset — prioritizes what’s best for the business.

  • Self-directed, fast-moving, and effective across multiple priorities.

Compensation and Benefits

Superhuman offers all team members competitive pay along with a benefits package encompassing the following and more:

  • Excellent health care (including a wide range of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and fertility benefits)

  • Disability and life insurance options

  • 401(k) and RRSP matching

  • Paid parental leave

  • 20 days of paid time off per year, 12 days of paid holidays per year, two floating holidays per year, and flexible sick time

  • Generous stipends (including those for caregiving, pet care, wellness, your home office, and more)

  • Annual professional development budget and opportunities

We’re open to multiple levels for this role, which means base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.

United States:

Zone 1: $211,000 – $360,000/year (USD)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
