We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Business Development Specialist to join our team. This team is dedicated to driving new business, building a strong revenue pipeline with high-value advertisers, and contributing to revenue growth for Yahoo Japan and LINE’s global clients.

This role is ideal for a proactive professional who excels at identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with clients and partners, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience. You will play a key role in expanding our reach by conducting market research, generating leads, and providing valuable industry insights to the BD team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Lead Generation: Identify potential clients and business opportunities through in-depth market research, focusing on high-value advertisers and emerging industry trends.

  • Client Outreach & Relationship Building: Initiate contact with prospective clients and partners to generate leads, establish strong relationships, and drive advertising opportunities.

  • Sales & Advertising Strategy Support: Provide industry insights and data-driven recommendations to support the BD team in developing advertising strategies and client proposals.

  • Proposal & Pitch Preparation: Assist in crafting compelling advertising proposals, presentations, and business cases by gathering and analyzing relevant market data.

  • Onboarding & Client Support: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a seamless onboarding process, addressing client needs related to advertising solutions, platform integration, and campaign execution.

  • Client & Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses. Resolve technical issues related to advertising platform tracking, integration, and alternative solutions for unsupported client requests.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication between teams in English and Japanese, ensuring efficient coordination of resources across projects.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Japanese and English (both written and spoken) at a business level.

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales support, or a similar role, ideally within the digital advertising industry.

  • 1+ years of experience in software development, ERP, or ad tech, with the ability to understand technical terminology in both Japanese and English.

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with a keen ability to identify advertising market trends and opportunities.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to effectively manage sales pipelines, client follow-ups, and project coordination.

  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a strong attention to detail and the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.

The compensation for this position ranges from $84,750.00 - $176,875.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
