BMO Bank. N.A. seeks Senior Specialist-IC Business Development Strategic Initiatives in Chicago, IL to promote reporting automation, self-serve analytics consumption, and the culture of analytics-driven decision making; integrate information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting; build visualizations to effectively communicate data driven insights to business partners via reports, graphics, and dashboards to illustrate segment insights and support strategic decision-making for the segment. Duties include: Develop solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs. Provide subject matter expertise on the design, development, management, and implementation of assigned projects from business case development through execution. Lead the design, development, and implementation of analytic solutions. Recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of consumer trends and ensure alignment between stakeholders about business needs and data needs. Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards illustrating segment KPIs and metrics to monitor and track performance, address any issues, and inform key strategic priorities. Identify enablers and key issues prior to and during implementation of strategic business development initiatives and raise issues with stakeholders to resolve issues or risks that jeopardize delivery. Operate at a group/enterprise-wide level and serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders. Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non­specific. Responsible for project management of key initiatives to support growth and experience of the target segment customer base, including working with internal and external partners to accomplish the established goals. Structure and assemble data into multidimensions with various granularities (e.g., demographics, customers, products, transactions). Cleanse, manipulate, and transform data through programming/scripting for mode training and validation. Automate validation tests to improve quality and efficiency of the validation process. Validate and test models used in analytics and reporting to assess/address performance and compliance. Conduct various pre-implementation and post-implementation analyses to estimate/measure business impact caused by model adoption (e.g., revenue increase, cost reduction, corporate brand image). Support development and execution of strategic analytics and data enablement. Develop tools and deliver training programs for use of reporting tools and self-serve analytics by non-analytical end users; may include delivery of training to audiences. Document and maintain operational procedures and processes relating to analytical and reporting processes. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives. Perform advanced SQL querying against IBM Netezza databases using DB Visualizer. Write Base SAS code and PROC SQL queries in SAS Enterprise Guide. Develop Python scripts in Dataiku. Execute Unix command-line programs. Build data visualizations in Microsoft Power BI. Construct automated business process flows in Microsoft Power Automate. Conduct multi-country banking. Hybrid position - remote 3 days per week.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign education equivalent  in Marketing, Business Analytics, Business Management, or related field plus seven (7) years of experience as Business Intelligence Analyst or related occupation performing project management and business development within marketing or business analytics or, alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign education equivalent  in Marketing, Business Analytics, Business Management, or related field  and five (5) years of experience as Business Intelligence Analyst or related occupation performing project management and business development within marketing or business analytics. Specific skills/other requirements – Must also have experience with: Advanced SQL querying against IBM Netezza databases using DB Visualizer; Writing Base SAS code and PROC SQL queries in SAS Enterprise Guide; Developing Python scripts in Dataiku; Executing Unix command-line programs; Building data visualizations in Microsoft Power BI; and Constructing automated business process flows in Microsoft Power Automate. Must possess: Advanced Google Analytics Certificate.

Salary for this specific position in Chicago, IL is $141,300 per year

Salary:

$110,000.00 - $204,100.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
