Job Summary & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Develop Sales and provide sales support for new accounts and act as primary back up sales support for Customer Business Specialists and Branch Management for assigned accounts.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.

Work independently or in cooperation with Customer Business Specialist, Customer Business Manager, and Branch Management to:

  • Manage and direct internal and external resources to meet or exceed new and assigned customer expectations.
  • Interview callers and assigned customers to determine their product and service needs.
  • Develop and promote product sales for new accounts and additional sales for existing accounts.
  • Promote and sell Heilind's services including, but not limited to, value-added enhancements, programs, automation, and E-store, to new and existing accounts.
  • Persuade or influence new or existing customers to purchase Heilind products and services.
  • Keep new and assigned accounts satisfied through, among other tasks; sales of products and services, administering accurate and timely process transactions, developing solid working relationships, responding to all customer phone calls, emails, letters, and faxes in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
  • Develop and execute effective quoting strategies by collaborating with Customer Business Managers, Sales Management and Product Management.
  • Negotiate product pricing, returns and credits with new and assigned customers.
  • Determine and negotiate delivery methods and time frames with new and assigned customers.
  • Support Customer Business Managers to solidify business at assigned accounts.
  • Provide sales administrative and backup support for other Sales team members.
Preferred Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or a minimum of 2+ years of related experience in industrial sales; or a combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with sales tracking software such as OPTRAK or Dem ID.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (paperwork, typing, using mouse/keyboard). The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).

Pay Range

$60,000 to $66,000. Pay is commensurate with experience.
