Job Summary & Responsibilities

Job Summary 

 The Business Development Representative will provide support and service for both the company and its customers. It is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven individual who will be responsible for promoting sales through our website to our Customer/Dealer network. Responsible for driving profitable sales growth by developing, maintaining and advancing accounts by regularly contacting customers. This position reports to the Director of Sales. 

 

Essential Duties/Accountabilities 

  • Develop customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service with incoming customer communication. 
  • Assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users. 
  • Seek out new business opportunities making outbound sales calls to new and existing customers. Identify trends, opportunities and threats to core business. 
  • Ensure assigned customers understand and know how to utilize our technologies and grow technology adoption and usage rates. 
  • Use sales and account management processes to consult with customers to increase their knowledge of our products and programs. 
  • Communicate effectively both externally and internally. 
  • Utilize Salesforce software to document and plan activities to include Calendar, Tasks and Events. 
  • Assess clients' needs, recommend, or assist in the selection of appropriate goods or services, and negotiate prices or other sales terms. 
  • Develop sales presentations, proposals, or other materials to illustrate benefits from use of goods or services. 
  • Attend, when necessary, training classes to acquire the skills to meet our customers’ needs and expectations and to keep abreast with technical developments and changes in product lines. 
  • Other duties assigned. 
Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • High School diplomarequired 
  • Knowledge of HVACR terminology and HVACR product knowledge is a plus. 
  • Demonstratedperformance history in sales & new market development.  
  • Proven success in meeting sales goals withabilityto analyze and interpret sales and market data.  
  • Solid business/problem solving skillswith the focus on customer service (internally and externally) 
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access,Salesforceand other web based  applications

  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate on all levels within internal and external groups.  
  • Excellent customer service mindset with the ability to develop long term relationships.  
  • Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data.  
  • Strong and creative sourcing ideas. The ability to conduct consultative sales presentations. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.  
  • Proactively seeks continuous process and service improvements.  

 

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

  • The employeefrequently is required to stand sit or walkclimb, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  
  • Ability toutilizea computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.  
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, 

depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
