About The RoleOur Sales team is growing at The RealReal, and we’re seeking self-motivated individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our team! The Business Development Representative (BDR) works to qualify leads and pass to the appropriate sales channel to close into new consignors. If you’re customer-obsessed and driven to excel in a fully-remote, competitive sales environment, this could be the perfect fit!
Eligible work locations: AL, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, IL, LA, MN, NM, NV, OK, OR, TX, UT, WA

What You Get To Do Everyday
  • Act as first point of contact for prospective clients (leads) interested in consigning at The RealReal

  • Qualify marketing generated leads though daily outreach, while fielding inbound inquiries

  • Pass qualified leads to appropriate sales channel to close into new consignment business

  • Nurture leads through ongoing follow-up via phone/text/email

  • Utilize internal tools and resources to educate leads on consignment process, brands accepted, pricing expectations and next steps

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements

  • High degree of professionalism and excellent phone demeanor

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills; ability to tailor communication style to suit all audiences

  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and analytical skills 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortability using software such as G-Suite, Email, SalesForce, CRM 

  • Self-motivation and drive to excel in fast-paced environment

  • A solutions-focused mentality with a growth mindset

  • Adaptability and openness to change

  • Ability to commit to full-time hours (40 hours per week) 

  • Must be able to work one weekend day - shifts offered are: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday

Preferred Requirements

  • Familiarity with the luxury fashion marketplace

  • Lead qualification experience

Compensation, Benefits, + Perks
  • Hourly base pay + uncapped commission

  • $800/month commission (at target)

The expected hourly rate for this role is $21-$21. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
