Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SIWS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead, Senior or Principal Analog/Power Electronics Bus Unit Hardware Engineer (Level 4, 5 or 6) to join us as part of our Space Digital Products & Electronics team located in El Segundo, CA.

In this role, you will be the driving force behind the satellite's power conditioning, control systems, and power supply components within the bus units.
Your expertise in analog circuit design and power electronics will ensure a reliable and efficient power supply that fuels the satellite's subsystems.
Collaborating closely with digital teams, you'll provide the essential infrastructure that enables the digital heart of the satellite to function flawlessly. Position Responsibilities:
  • Design and development of state-of-the art Analog / Power Electronics Bus Unit Hardware Engineer and electronics for aerospace applications
  • Duties will include electronics design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification
  • Technical support for production and test of electronic products
  • Support projects involving Electronics design
  • Maintain detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products
  • Develop detailed designs of limited scope
  • Conducts various methods of testing and analysis to support design
  • Capture data for technical performance measures and performs basic analysis
  • Provide basic engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product. Conducts trade studies and literature research to support future product designs
  • Work under minimal supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Level 4: 5+ years of experience with Analog and/or Power Electronics and/or Hardware
  • Level 5: 10+ years of experience with Analog and/or Power Electronics and/or Hardware
  • Level 6: 15+ years of experience with Analog and/or Power Electronics and/or Hardware
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security clearance post start for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with Digital, Analog and Power Electronics
  • Experience with circuit design and analysis
  • Experience with Firmware, Microprocessor or other Hardware
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering or other related advanced degree
  • Lead (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
  • Senior (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
  • Principal (Level 6): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Lead (Level 4) Summary pay range: $146,200 - $197,800
Senior (Level 5) Summary pay range: $176,800 - $239,200
Principal (Level 6): Summary pay range: $210,800 - $285,200
