At JC Davis Ventures, LLC dba JC Davis Power, we keep work moving with smart, reliable solutions that allow our people and our partners to stay safe, focused, and ahead. Powering a jobsite shouldn't be a hassle. But too often, crews are left waiting, equipment breaks down, vendors go dark, and deadlines slip.

We started JC Davis Power to fix all of that. We're a full-service jobsite operations partner, delivering and maintaining temporary power, climate control, and tower lighting. All with one reliable crew. No handoffs. No confusion.

We show up, solve problems, and do the work the right way. Whether you're supporting customers in the field, building systems behind the scenes, or helping drive the business forward, you'll be part of a team that values reliability, accountability, and getting the job done.

Simple - Reliable - Done Right!

The Role

As JC Davis Power grows, so does the number of company card transactions our crews and teams make every day. As our Accounts Payable Analyst (Credit Card Transactions), you'll own that process from receipt to reconciliation. You'll review and code 75+ card transactions a day, reconcile monthly statements, and track down missing receipts and discrepancies. You'll also support core AP work, including invoice processing and vendor payments. Today the split is about 60% credit card work and 40% AP. Over the next 6 to 12 months it will shift toward credit card work only, as card volume grows.

This is a focused, high-volume role with a steady rhythm. Most of the month is consistent and routine, with a heavier push at month-end. It's a good fit for someone who likes clearing a queue and getting every detail right.

This is a remote role, but candidates MUST BE here in Texas.

What You'll Do
  • Daily receipt review: Review and approve 75+ credit card receipts a day. Check each one for accuracy, business purpose and policy compliance.

  • Coding and processing: Code and process card transactions in Bill and our accounting systems. Ensure expenses are processed accurately and approved on a timely basis.

  • Cardholder support: Handle a steady flow of cardholder questions, from card issues to missing receipts. Follow up with cardholders and department managers for receipts, itemized details or coding clarifications, and help cardholders with disputes.

  • Monthly reconciliation: Reconcile monthly card statements against audited transaction records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, unauthorized charges and duplicate billings with vendors or the card issuer.

  • Accounts payable support: Process PO-based vendor invoices with three-way matching and enter them in Bill. Respond to vendor questions and help reconcile vendor statements.

  • Month-end close: Work with AP to make sure all credit card liabilities are recorded accurately before month-end close.

  • Fraud prevention and policy: Help enforce our travel and expense policies, and flag non-compliant spending or suspicious activity.

  • Records: Keep receipts, statements and invoices organized and audit-ready.

What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of accounts payable experience with strong, hands-on credit card transaction experience

  • Hands-on experience with Bill (Bill.com), NetSuite and QuickBooks Online, or similar ERP systems

  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Strong attention to detail, and comfortable with repetitive, high-volume manual work

  • Patient, friendly communicator who can follow up firmly and politely with cardholders, managers and vendors

  • Takes ownership and works to clear the queue each day

  • Picks up new systems quickly

  • Self-directed and reliable when working remotely

  • Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated, distraction-free workspace

Preferred

  • 1-3 years of dedicated credit card or expense management experience

  • Experience with Divvy, Capital One or other corporate card platforms

  • Familiarity with W-9 collection and 1099s

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
