We partner with modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake), transformation tooling (dbt), and advanced analytics/BI (Sigma, PowerBI) to deliver repeatable, high-impact outcomes for clients.

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for selling Analytics8’s services and solutions to prospective customers in assigned territories, industries, or accounts. The AE nurtures contacts from a variety of sources including Analytics8 technology partners.

  • Work in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment with a compact leadership team and quick decision cycles
  • Sell high-value, technical professional services into mid-market and enterprise accounts.
  • Competitive base salary, uncapped commission/accelerators and professional development support
  • Direct access to technical delivery partners and senior executives — you’ll have the ability to provide a voice in how the firm grows while achieving your personal growth objectives

Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals by driving new business and expanding existing client relationships
  • Manages all stages of the sales cycle including prospecting, qualifying leads, developing tailored solutions, negotiating terms, and closing strategic services engagements from one-off projects to multi-year programs
  • Expertly articulate the competitive advantage of Analytics8 analytics solutions and overcomes objections
  • Execute and implement a repeatable sales model for data and analytics services including pipeline management, account segmentation, value-based selling plays, and partner motion
  • Develop subject matter expertise in assigned industry/vertical/offering stack; maintains in-depth knowledge of industry trends and competitor offerings to position Analytic8 as trusted advisor
  • Drive land-and-expand success inside accounts via a formal account planning process focused on increasing the business value provided to each client
  • Collaborate with partner ecosystem sales executives (Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, BI vendors) to co-sell, develop specific joint go-to-market plays and accelerate pipeline growth.
  • Ensure forecast accuracy, pipeline hygiene, CRM practices, and regularly report on monthly/quarterly attainment

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of quota-carrying experience selling professional services or complex technical services (data, cloud, analytics, or systems integrator/consulting)
  • Proven track record in enterprise/new logo acquisition and account expansion (demonstrable quota attainment) and modern sales tools
  • Strong technical fluency with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), transformation tooling (dbt), and analytics/BI — enough to credibly lead pre-sales conversations and align with delivery
  • Executive presence and experience selling to senior IT/Line-of-Business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in a lean environment: hands-on, resourceful, and ability to self-start when required
  • Expert CRM and pipeline management skillset (Salesforce or equivalent)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
