Full-cycle, quota-carrying AE role selling Transfer Pricing services (Compliance and Advisory) into finance stakeholders. Manage SDR-sourced and self-sourced pipeline, run consultative sales cycles with Tax/Finance leaders, maintain accurate CRM forecasting, use AI-first tools for prospecting and deal prep, and help shape Advisory GTM while competing against Big 4 alternatives.

Exactera has offices in New York City, Tarrytown NY, San Diego, CA, London, and Argentina.

The Opportunity

Exactera is reimagining how the world's finance and tax leaders get their most technical, highest-stakes work done, replacing legacy advisory relationships with an AI-first, tech-enabled services model. Our International Tax business, anchored by Transfer Pricing Compliance & Advisory, is our most established business, built on a proven, repeatable sales playbook. Within it, Advisory is our newest and fastest-growing service line: the right AE gets real room to help shape how it's sold, backed by the stability of a Compliance motion Exactera has already proven out.

We are hiring a US-based Account Executive to drive new logo growth for Transfer Pricing. This is a full-cycle sales role: you will receive qualified pipeline from a dedicated SDR team, run a consultative sales process with Tax Directors, VPs of Tax, Controllers, and CFOs, and close new business that grows Exactera's footprint in the US market. You will have strong sales enablement and coaching behind you, and a playbook that already works, but we still need someone who brings their own engine: a self-starter who builds pipeline on their own initiative rather than only working what's handed to them, and who is genuinely AI-first in how they prospect, prepare, manage their pipeline, and evolve their GTM process.

What You Will Own
  • Run a full-cycle, new logo sales motion for Transfer Pricing Compliance, from SDR-sourced and self-sourced pipeline through close
  • Sell into the Finance function, building credibility with Tax Directors, VPs of Tax/Finance, Controllers, and CFOs by translating transfer pricing complexity into a clear, defensible business case
  • Help shape how we sell Transfer Pricing Advisory, building on the proven Compliance playbook rather than starting from a blank page
  • Partner closely with your SDR to sharpen targeting, messaging, and account prioritization within your book
  • Keep a disciplined, accurate pipeline in our CRM, with realistic stages and timelines that make forecasting trustworthy
  • Use Exactera's AI-first tools to work faster and smarter across prospecting, deal prep, and account research, and bring your own AI workflow to the table
  • Engage actively with sales enablement content and coaching, and apply the feedback to continuously improve your craft
  • Represent Exactera's Transfer Pricing value proposition credibly against Big 4 and legacy advisory alternatives

Who You Are
  • 5 to 10 years of quota-carrying, full-cycle B2B sales experience, with a strong preference for experience selling into the Finance function (tax, accounting, treasury, or related technical buyers)
  • A demonstrated track record of generating a real share of your own pipeline through deliberate outbound effort, not solely reliant on inbound or SDR handoff
  • Genuinely AI-first in your day-to-day workflow: you already use AI tools to prospect, prepare, and manage your pipeline, and you look for ways to work smarter, not just harder
  • Strong consultative selling skills, ideally grounded in a structured, value-based sales methodology (e.g., MEDDPICC or similar), and comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder, technical sales cycles with longer time horizons
  • Comfortable operating inside an established, proven sales motion while also helping shape a newer one still being built
  • Coachable and competitive: you want the enablement and coaching we provide, and you use it to get better rather than resist structure
  • Comfortable selling complex or technical services and translating them into business outcomes for a non-technical buyer

What Success Looks Like
  • Fully ramped and carrying a complete quota within the first 90 to 120 days
  • A consistently accurate, well-managed pipeline that reflects real deal stage and timing, fed by both SDR handoff and your own outbound effort
  • New logo Transfer Pricing bookings at or above target attainment
  • Contributing real feedback and playbook improvements as Transfer Pricing Advisory's sales motion takes shape
  • A rep who's known internally for using AI to move faster on the fundamentals, not to skip them

Why Exactera

Transfer Pricing Compliance at Exactera isn't a bet, it's our most proven business, backed by a sales motion that already works. What's still being built is Advisory, and that's where the right AE gets real room to shape how we sell, backed by an established engine rather than starting from scratch. If you want the stability of a proven playbook and the upside of building out what comes next, and you bring the self-starter energy and AI-native instincts to make the most of the support around you, this is your opportunity.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
